Social Security retirement age set to change in 2025

Among the changes Social Security recipients will view in 2025 is a higher full retirement age.

For years the full retirement age was 65 but changed with a law passed by Congress in 1983 to gradually raise that number to match growing expected lifespan according to Social Security Administration.

The number marks the age at which workers become eligible to claim 100 percent of their retirement benefit based on lifetime earnings.

Among other Social Security changes coming in 2025 are smaller cost of living adjustment at 2.5% down from 3.4% an increase in maximum taxable earnings from 168000 to $176100 and appointment based services at Social Security offices countrywide.

The full or normal retirement age has been creeping up in latest year by two months for each subsequent birth year.

If you born in 1958 for instance you would reach full retirement age at 66 years and 8 month but if you born in following year that retirement age climbs to 66 year and 10 months.

‘I hurt my brothers’: Woman admits to wrongly accusing Duke lacrosse players of rape in 2006

After two decades after making national headlines when she accused Duke lacrosse players of rape. Crystal Mangum is seeking forgiveness.

Mangum who is incarcerated for 2011 murder of her boyfriend was interviewed in November for the podcast “Lets talk with Kat”.

The interview was posted online on Thursday and believed to be first time she admitted the accusation were wrong.

“I betrayed the trust of a lot of other people who believed in me and made up a story that was not true because I wanted validation from and not from God” she continued.

“That was wrong when God already loved me for who I was. I did not need to seek validation from Him because I already had validation from Him. I Just did not know it”.

Mangum was convicted of her boyfriend murder in 2013. She was sentenced to 14-18 years in prison.

“I hurt my brothers. I want them to know I love them and they did not deserve it. I hope they can forgive me”.

During the interview Mangum was asked about topics consisting of foods she looks forward to eating when she leaves prison what she would do if she was president. why she became an exotic dance and her experiences and if she had any regrets.

In 2006 Mangum accused three players on the Duke lacrosse team of raping her.

The charges against players were dropped the following year.

Two days after his home was robbed Joe Burrow has spoken out about how his privacy was violated in more ways than one.
You have heard that 28 year old Cincinnati Bengals quarterback is major NFL star to targeted in string of recent home robberies.
With Joe out of town the robbery was reported by 22 year old woman who told authorities at 8:14 pm she notice a shattered bedroom window and ransacked room when she arrived at property.
First the 22 year old detailed as employee of Joe. Later known as Olivia Ponton a famous model and influencer with over 7 million followers on TikTok.

The police report suggested that Olivia called her mother about the robbery and that it was her mom, Diane, who first contacted authorities.

In audio of the 911 call Diane can be heard telling the dispatcher “Someone is trying to break into house right now. My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow house. She is staying there.”

Joe has addressed situation at Dec 11 Bengals press conference, where he questions about robbery by saying “So obviously everybody has heard what has happened”.

Jay-Z the star rapper and businessman whose name is Shawn Carter was accused in lawsuit Sunday of raping a 13 year old girl in 2000 allegedly along with Sean Diddy Combs,

The federal lawsuit was filed in October in Southern District of New York listing Combs as defendant. It was refiled Sunday to include Carter.

The anonymous accuser identified as Jane Doe said the attack happened after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after party.

Carter called the allegations idiotic in a lengthy statement Sunday evening and alleged that Buzbee was engaged in unprofessional behavior.

“These allegation are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint not civil on. Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away would you not agree? Carter said in statement to NBC.

The lawsuit claims that in 2000 when Doe was 13 Combs and Carter raped her at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

A spokesman for the US Attorney Office for the Southern District of New York decline to comment on whether the office is pursuing the case.

Buzbee has filed several lawsuits in latest months all have withheld their complainants names accusing Combs of assault and rape.

This is first suit in which he has name other high profile defendant.

Federal prosecutors in New York criminally charged Combs in September with racketeering sex trafficking and other attacks and he is behind bars at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after he was denied bail for third time last month.

She was offered a drink that made her feel woozy lightheaded and felt she needed to lie down the suit says and she went into room to rest.

The suit says Combs and Carter entered the room with Combs saying “You are ready to party.

She alleges Carter removed her clothes held her down and raped her while Combs and unnamed female celebrity watched. She says Combs also raped her Carter and woman looked on.

The suit says that she was able to resist being forced to perform oral sex on Combs by hitting him in neck and that he stopped.

The trucking, logistic and shipping sector has been facing a recession since March 2022.

The list of recent trucking and shipping companies filing for bankruptcy includes Miami, Fla based Star Transportation PA and five affiliates that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Nov 1 to recognize businesses.

Illinois shipping company Mighty  Move Transportation which operated with 70 power units and 75 drivers on Oct 24 filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in US Bankruptcy Court for Northern District of Illinois facing two breach of contract lawsuits.

Major trucking and shipping services company KAL Freight on Dec 5 filed for Chapter 11 protection to wind down failing affiliates and restructure its business.

The debtor which is 100% owned by Kalvinder Singh listed $100 million to $500 million in liabilities and assets including about $313 million funded debt.

The debtor founded in 2014 had merged operation with other trucking companies in 2020 became unsuccessful business ventures according to declaration from company chief Restructuring Officer Bradley D Sharp of Development Specialists Inc.

The company which had 800 trucks 800 drivers and over 2,200 trailers on petition date operated its trucking company KAL Freight, trailer distributor and retailer KAL Trailers commercial tire dealer KVL Tires and truck and trailer parts company KAL Partz.

The debtor has not filed a motion seeking debtor in possession financing but it has filed motion for use of its cash collateral and to continue operate under its factoring and security agreement with Triumph Business Capital.

The 2024 National Finals Rodeo begin this week at the Thomas and Mack Stadium in Las Vegas.

The annual championship held by Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association will last until Dec. 14.

What is NFR?

The National Finals Rodeo NFR is annual championship held by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association PRCA. The first NFR took place in 1959 in Oklahoma City.

NFR is famous as the Super Bowl of rodeo and was established to decide the world champion in calf roping, steer wrestling bull riding bareback bronc riding team roping.
