2024 Beanpot: Stats, Schedule, how to watch men’s and women’s hockey tournaments

Northeastern and BU met in the final in the 2020 and 2022 Beanpot games with each side winning once.

Boston U, Northeastern to meet in men’s Beanpot finals

Despite a third period push from top ranked Eagles No. 3 BU moves to Beanpot final with a 4-3 win. Macklin Celebrini’s two first period goals gave the Terriers a lead they would not relinquish.

BU will try for its 32nd tournament title and 2nd Beanpot championship in last 3 years when it meers Northeastern next Monday night at TD Garden.

In Monday 1st game Northeastern overcame a 3rd period deficit by forcing overtime on a goal by justin Hryckowian.

Men’s Beanpot schedule set

Men’s Beanpot tournament is set to begin tonight at TD Garden with the four DI college hockey programs in Boston area facing off.

Northeastern wins women’s Beanpot

Northeastern won its 2nd straight women Beanpot tournament title on Tuesday in overtime thriller. The Huskies tool down Boston U 2-1 to claim third Beanpot crown of all time.

Northeastern claim title with a 1 -0 shutout but Boston U’s Catherine Foulem tied the game at 1 apiece with less than a minute go in 3rd period.

Skylar Irving was unphased. She given Northeastern its 1st goal in 2nd period. Just 27 seconds into overtime. She gave the Huskies the match winning goal. Irving was named the tournament MVP.

No 3 Terriers Moves to Beanpot Final with 4-3 Victory Over Top Ranked Eagles

The 3rd ranked Boston University men ice hockey team beating archrival and top ranked Boston 4-3 in the 71st Dunkin Mens;s Beanpot semifinals on Monday evening at TD Garden.

Freshman Macklin Celebrini scored the match 1st two goals and Terriers also got tallies from senior Luke Tuch and spohomore Ryan Green.

Sophomore Quin Hutson make two assist while Gavin McCarthy and sphomore Lane Huston one assist apiece.

BU never trailed in the game as it built a 4-1 lead in the 3rd before Eagles got back into game with a pair of tallies.

Mathieu Caron madestorps over the night and finished the match with 34 saves.

The Terriers held on to improve to 18-7-1 on the year and secure a position in next Monday Beanpot final against Northeastern which earned a 3-2 win over Harvard in 1st semifinal. BC fell to 19-5-1 on the season.

  • Game time at Agganis Arena is set for 7 p.m
