Chase suspect driving wrong way hit into oncoming traffic on 405 Fwy in Brentwood

A chase suspect was taken into police custody Friday morning after driving into oncoming traffic and colliding into various vehicles on 405 Freeway in the Brentwood area.

It seems the drivers who were hit only get minor injuries. At least one man from crash was taken to the hospital.

The chase started from accident at 4:30 am on 4th avenue in the Venice area. According to Los Angeles Police Department the suspect in white van rammed into patrol vehicles leaving at least 2 officers with injuries.

Various northbound lanes were shutdown in aftermath of chase.

Officers then started the pursuit which made its way onto the 405 Freeway.

At one point driver turned around and initiated driving the wrong way on northbound lanes of the freeway with various patrol cars close behind.

The driver collided into at least three vehicle and semi truck before she climbed out of car and on top of semi trucks hood and tried to get inside.

Police rapidly in on foot and took suspect into custody.

The suspect drove recklessly and hit past oncoming traffic. The chase finally come to end when driver of the white van violently hit head on into a group of vehicles that had been stopped by police near Wilshire Boulevard.

Most northbound lanes were shut down in the aftermath of the chase.

James Lynch is return in action and back with the Vikings. A 4th round pick by the Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft, Lynch hit free agency this March when his rookie contract expired.

Lynch has appeared in 37 matches with 3 starts. Her has totaled 53 tackles 31 solo 4 tackles for loss, 2 sack and fumble recovery.

To make room on offseason roster the Vikings released veteran cornerback Joejuan Williams who appeared in 2 matches for Minnesota in 2023.

Lynch 4th season ended before had chance to begin due to knee injury suffered during training camp last August.

He was estimated to member of interior defensive line rotation and playing at various posts.

Harmon has filed a lawsuit against Instacart and delivery driver Christopher Anthoney Reid for alleged tespassing, invasion of privacy, negligence and more.

Harmon tells Reid allegedly said to her at the time yeah I shot your do. She further said ” He just kept saying that over and over and over again. He was not agitated. He was not mad. He was not sorry. He was not helping us. I was like “What are you talking about”?

Charlotte Meckenburg Police Department learned their investigation that Reid delivered the food to Harmon residence, he claimed the dog attacked him and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot striking and mortally wounding the dog

The driver allegedly placed the gun in front of his pants.

When she comeback to house to grab towels her daughter Emery 15 was shaking and crying. She was like Mommy no Go take care of him Help Oliver help Oliver Harmon added.

Harmon tried to lift him she says her legs gave out “we pick Ollie up all time but i could not get him in car” she admits.

Avery called 911 Harmon tells she and her daughter lifted the dog. they were both traumatized by physical appearance.

Harmon rushed Oliver to emergency vet. The doctors tried to revive him she remained in shock on her knees and hand in parking lot sobbing.

Harmon is now suing Reid and Instacart claiming she believed she was interacting with delivery driver named Merle on app whose profile pics depicted an older lady.

The suit alleges that Reid was not injured by Harmon dog and had ample opportunity to leave property unharmed without shooting the dog.

Harmon is suing for trespassing, negligence, negligent supervision invasion of privacy and negligent misrepresentation. She is seeking more than $25,000 in damages exact amount will be determined at trial.

Instacart added that they suspended the shopper from platform and were working with local law enforcement on investigation.

On May 14 company release a statement Out hearts continue to be with Ms Harmon and her family following this damaging incident. While we cannot comment on pending litigation we have no tolerance for violence of any kind and shopper account has been deactivated from our platform.

Harmon returned home the police asked Reid for about 45 minutes while she say they talked us for 10 minutes and then they let him go She said He did not have mark on him. He did not have scratch.

The 1st recipient of genetically updated pig kidney transplant has died about 2 months later with the hospital that performed the surgery adding it did not have any sign the transplant was the cause.

The transplant team at Massachusetts hospital added in a statement it was deeply saddened and offered condolences to his family.

Richard Rick Slayman had transplant at Massachusetts general hospital in March at age of 62. Surgeons added they believed the pig kidney would last for 2 years.

On Saturday his family and the hospital that performed surgery confirmed Slayman death.

Slayman had a kidney transplant at hospital in 2018 but had to go back on dialysis last year when is show symptoms of failure.

2 men received heart transplants from pigs both died after various months.

Walmart to close health centers, virtual care service in recent failed push into health care

Walmart opened up it will shut all of its health care clinic across the us  a change of its mission to bring its cheap cost reputation to dentist and doctor office along with grocery aisle.

The big box retailer added it would close its telehealth provider which it gained in 2021 with unopened price.

Walmart will shut 51 clinic locations across Georgia, Texas, Florida plan that would not affect company 4600 pharmacies and more than 300 vision centers.

The clinics will close over next 2 to 3 months.

In  a release the company expressed it could not function a profitable business due to challenging reimbursement enviroment and rising costs.

Walmart opened its first Walmart Health clinic in Georgia in 2018 and then opened more clinics next door to its big box stores.

Consumers who shopped Walmart’s aisles for groceries items could stop by for doctor or dentist appointment or therapy session.

The clinics offered other services too like stitches, X-rays.

The shortage of health care workers in U.S. has increased company labor costs according to sources familiar with matter.

Eilish releases new album, Hit Me Hard and Soft in May and starts her tour in September.

Billie Eilish has declared a mega tour in support of her forthcoming new album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The pop singer songwriter tour start in North America in September.  Eilish restarts her tour in Australia in February 2025.

She has shows in UK and Europe in spring and summer 2025.

Hit Me Hard and Soft Billie Eilish third studio album is out May 17.

The musician does not plan to share any singles ahead of new album full release.

Eilish is undertaking sustainability measures for her world tour. She partnered with nonprofit reverb to make donations for climate justice projects.

Eilish is working with Support + Feed to offer plan based food choices and fans to plant based foods more often.

Sundance Film Festival: London open up 2024 line up

The line up for the Sundance Film Festival: London 2024 edition includes surreal comedy Sasquatch Sunset, A24 horror I Saw The TV Glow.

The festival will occur at London’s Picturehouse Central from June 6-9 and will show 11 feature movies that premiered at the US edition of Sundance in January.

The festival will present a surprise film an undeclared title not seen in the UK.

The feature line up includes Caroline Lindy romantic comedy debut Your Monster starring Melissa Barrera and Megan Parks coming of age journey of self discovery My Old Ass starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza.

Industry programme will run the festival and audience will be able to vote for the audience favourite award.

The festival will open with UK premiere Rich Peppiatts Kneecap and close with UK premiere of Sean Wang’s Didi.

The documentaries include Skywalkers A Love Story by Jeff Zimbalist and Lucy Lawless directorial debut Never Look Away.

Justice Department to sue Ticketmaster, Live Nation for alleged monopoly over ticketing industry

The Department of Justice is planning to file mega anti trust lawsuit against Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation next month

The litigation will accuse the country mega concert promoter of leveraging dominance that undermines competition.

The Wall Street Journal on Monday citing sources familiar with matter. The outlet did not report on specific allegations to be brought in suit.

The DOJ opened its probe into Live Nation maintains monopoly over industry in 2022 when Ticketmaster destroyed while Taylor Swift fans were trying to purchase pre sale tickets for her Eras Tour ” “The New York Times”.

The litigation will country mega concert promoter of leveraging dominance that undermines competition. The Wall Street Journal first report on Monday familiar with matter.

The outlet did not report on specific allegations to be brought in suit.

The Justice Department approved merger between Live Nation and Ticketmaster in 2010 with regulators promising to bring more competition into ticketing business.

The stipulations would drive up ticket costs for consumers instead of lowering them, the concert promoter Live Nation which owned or ran 135 mega concert venues around the globe at the time would pressure venues into exclusively using its new ticketing arm.

The condition of 2010 deal were set to expire in 2019 anti trust regulators extended it to 2025 revising settlement to include an anti retaliation clause that would subject Live Nation to a $1 million penalty each time should it threaten to withhold shows if venue sold tickets through a company other Ticketmaster.

Ticketmaster has more competition that it has ever had and deal terms with venues show it has nothing close to monopoly power

The Wall Street Journal recently report that Department of Justice DOJ is preparing to file an antitrust lawsuit against the company as early as next month.

Shares of Live Nation dropped 9% in after hours trading. TD Cowens TMT policy analyst Paul Gallant estimated 70% probability of DOJ initiating legal action.

The specifics of lawsuit are not clear whether it will demand a complete breakup for company or seek less drastic measure like banning contracts with venues.

The analyst think that market reply to full divestiture by Live Nation would be unfavorable.

The lawsuit results in lesser restriction like secondary ticketing or exclusive agreement the impact on Live Nation stock could be positive.

The outcome of DOJ’s investigation lawsuit is still unsure. TD Cowen stands by valuation of Live Nation stock.

The DOJ’s focus might be on Ticketmaster agreement with venues which could lead to Live Nation being stressed to withdraw from ticket resale market and renegotiate venue contracts,
