Schlafly’s Stout & Oyster Festival returns March 8-9 in Maplewood

Calling all stout and oyster lovers. Local beer legend Schlafly pairing its stouts with briny bivalves for annual Stout & Oyster Festival with dates on March 8 from 5 to 9 pm and March 9 from 11 am to 9 pm.

Over the weekend oyster shucker from both coast have multiple raw oysters ready at bars including Blue Points, Delaware Bay oysters and Totten Inlet, Chef Creek Oysters and Samish Bay, Fried oysters, Oysters Rockefeller and oyster chowder will be on hand.

Schlafly beers will available in 16 oz can including white lager just a bit hazy IPA Pale Ale and more in Schukerdome.

This year fest take place at Schlafly Bottleworks location in Maplewood Missouri where you have options when it comes to both stouts and oysters.

The brewery works with chefs and farmers from around the country overnighting over 50,000 oysters from coast and hosting 20 seasoned star shuckers to do thing on site all weekend.

The brewmasters at Schlafly concoct over 12 stouts exclusively for festival including stouts and specialties like Horseradish Stout, Tropical Stout, Export Stout, BA Imperial Coconut Stour and BA Imperial Pumpkin Stout.

A Kilderkin of Tabasco Oyster Stout will make appearance.

It is official now The Rock will be in ring at WrestleMania 40. He will team up with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for match against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.

The 2 vs 2 match was made official Friday during Smackdown as Rhodes and Rollins appeared on program and accepted the condition which were proposed by The rock on last week episode of smack down in reply to rhodes declaring at Elimination chamber h desire a match against the rock.

The Federal Communication Commission confirmed thursday that it has launched what it say will be a thorough probe into massive network outage AT&T suffer last month that left million of consumers without mobile service.

New York AG investigating AT&T nationwide outages

New York Attorney General Letitia james declared Thursday that she was launching investigation into nationwide AT&T service outage that affected about 3 quarter of its consumers.

In press release Thursday james said her office will investigate the cause and company response to outage and urged New Yorkers who affected by file complaints with her office.

In a press release Feb 25 AT&T added that based on initial review it has determined the outage was caused by application of incorrect process used while working to expand our network.

Her announcement comes one week after nationwide outage disrupted millions of consumer service.

Pixies declare new bassist to replace Paz Lenchatin

Pixies have declared the departure of Paz Lenchantin who joined the band as touring member in 2014 to replace Kim Shattuck Paz appeared on 3 of the band albums 2016 Head Carrier 2018 Beneath the Eyrie, and 2022 Doggerel before joining Pixies she played on albums by A Perfect Circle Zwan, Silver Jews and more.

Pixies will be on tour with Modest Mouse and Cat Power in North America this june for 2nd summer in a row including NYC show at Forest Hills Stadium on June 15.

They also support Pearl Jam on tour in Australia and New Zealand in November and you can view all of upcoming dates below

Emma Richardson formerly of Band of Skulls will replace Paz starting with Pixies Dublin show this Friday.

Taylor Swift and Poet Emily Dickinson are related ancestry reveals

Taylor Swift has very popular poet in her bloodline.

Genealogy company ancestry has discovered that the Karma singer 34 is related to Emily Dickinson and couple are 6th cousin 3 times removed.

Taylor Swift ancestor remained in Connecticut for 6 generations until her part of family finally settled in northwestern Pennsylvania where they married into the Swift family line.

Dickinson and Swift both descend from 17th century English immigrant who was early settler of Windsor.

Swift upcoming album which is known as The Tortured Poets Department is set to be released on April 19.

Swift referenced the 19th century poet while accepting songwrite artist of the decade award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Swifties have speculated that Swift 9th studio album Evermore was inspired by Dickinson.

The record title also references the last word of Dickinson poem “One Sister have I in Our House”

The last line reads ” From out the wide night number Sue forevermore”

Swift first declared The Tortured Poets Department during her speech at the 2024 Grammy last month when she won best pop vocal album of her 2022 album Midnights.

The pop superstar has declared version of her new album with music revealing the 4th and final version at her Eras Tour show in Singapore on Sunday. The bonus track of final edition is titled ” The Black Dog”

Kentucky residence gets golden ticket on American Idol

Well its a show we all know American Idol this season there might be a face for few people. Berea Kentucky local Kyra Waits is a contestant in singing competition this season.

After auditioning for Katy Perry Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, Waits get the golden ticket and heading to Hollywood.

This was Waits 5th auditioning for American Idol but first time making it in front of judges.
