The Trump admin is testing the limits of presidential power with National Guard deployment with one adviser adding the president has plenary authority on use of army.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said President Donald Trump plenary authority under Title 10 of US Code when asked in Oct 6 interview if admin would follow a federal judge order not to deploy national guard to Portland Oregon, Time and outlets reported.

The interview was interrupted and phrase was not brought up when it resumed but Miller comment raised queries about how Trump admin interpretation of US law amid political fights with democrats over National Guard deployments.
