It has been three weeks and since strong wind hits Houston destroying Houston and businesses and leaving many without power for several days.

Centrepoint workers has been busy to restore  power after strong back to back storms across the Houston area.

Centre Point Executive VP of Regulatory Service and Government Affairs Jason Ryan said

“I think this storm that hit  on May 16 shows that we can be ready even on no notice for hurricane type event and restore service to consumers as rapidly as possible.

Crews are still working on repairs.

“Things like temporary transmission structures were put up where there was transmission structure damage we need to go back in and replace with permanent structures.

All that works could take months and comes with high price and consumers will finally help  pay that bill.

“We do not have final estimate right now for range cost”

“It will be at least $100 million of costs”

There are multiple choices the company can make in terms of trying to get reimbursement.One is reimbursement as a line item on bill some years ago was  done as a surcharge,

Singer songwriter Strugill Simpson has done things his way and iconoclasm will be in full force in July when he releases an album under the nom de plume Johnny Blue Skies which he is showing will be name that all his future albums will come out under.

Simpson first album under name is Johnny Blue Skies is 8 track Passage du Desir due out July 12 on own independent label High Top Mountain Records.

For purposes of touring he will remain Strugill Simpson splitting that difference is by preference major venue operators are unlikely to book shows for major artist under a pseudonym is unfamous.

He will be hitting the road under name Strugill Simpson this fall with 28 show over course of two and half months of shows in arenas theaters  starting with a date at LA Greek Theatre on Sept 14.

The track list for new album encompasses songs Swanp of Sadness If The Sun Never Rises Again, Scooter Blues, Jupiter Faerie, Who IAM. Mint Tea and One for The Road.

It was produce by artist famous as Johnny Blue Skies along with David Ferguson with session taking place at Clement House Recording Studio in Abbey Road and Nashville in London.

The fall out is billed as the Why Not? Tour and characterized as first major tour in 4 years.

Minnesotans can apply for a $ 1,500 e-bike rebate starting Wednesday

The rebates are value up to $1,500 depending on income.

Applications for Minnesota new e bike rebate program opens on Wednesday offering up to $1,500 per purchase.

Depending on income, discount is 50% to 75% of purchaser qualifying expenses.

The rebate value can not exceed the price of e bike.

The latest program is designed to decrease cost of new e bike from eligible retailers initiating on July 1.

Applications will be accepted as 11 am. Wednesday through Minnesota Department of Revenue.

An online portal opened for retailers to apply to be eligible retailer for program on May 1.

The program permits up to  $2 million annually in rebates to be claimed in 2024 and 2025.

The state says it will stop accepting application once it gets 10,000.

The department of revenue website has built in calculator to estimate how much your rebate will be.

The state approves your rebate you must use it an approved retailer within 2 months or it will expire. The department adds if there is money left in program after Oct, 1

The state will issue more rebates to individuals who applied but did not get certificate initially.
