Power Outage in North Bend continues into Wednesday

Thousands of consumers in North Bend were without power Wednesday morning after outage that start the night before.

The outage stretch from North Bend east along the Interstate 90 corridor.

Nearly 2600 consumers were still in dark. According to Puget Sound Energy power went out at 7 40 pm on Tuesday when 4000 consumers were at times without power.

Power was restored after 8 am.

According to PSE spokesman a high line switch needs replacement at North Ben Substation.

North Bend is getting power from the Mt. Si and Snoqualmie substations while crew work to repair the North Bend substation.

Longtime morning National Public Radio Host Bob Edwards has died according to NPR. He was 76 years veteran.

Edwards was the host of radio stations Morning Edition show for 24 and half years. NPR said adding people knew him as the voice we woke up to.

He left NPR in 2004 and interview one of his radio heroes Charles Osgood during his last show.

Osgood was the first person Edwards interviewed for Morning Edition.

New York City public schools will go remote Tuesday city officials revealed monday before a winter storm estimated to dump up to 8 inches of snow on five boroughs.

SF firefighters rescue 12 year old trapped on Fort Funston Cliff

San Fransisco firefighters rescued a 12 year old trapped on 300 foot cliff at Fort Funston on Saturday afternoon.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter lowered a firefighter on a cable about 150 feet down the cliff to boy location Lt Mariano Elias added.

The boy who was uninjure had climbed down the sandy bluff but could not get back up he added

Fort Funston is a former military installation on the southwest coast of San Fransisco that is now part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

People react after park worker found stabbed in Pleasant Hill

Bay Area family is in mourning after a Pleasant Hill Park worker was found stabbed to death Saturday.

The incident happened in a quiet neighborhood next to the popular Pleasant Hill Park. People in the area express they feel very safe.

We feel safe on out walks around here Leon Frankel of Pleasant Hill said.

37 year old Santiago Jacobo worked as janitor at Pleasant Hill Park Jacobo a father of 2 young children typically returned home to Pittsburg shortly after his shift.

 Saturday Police revealed Jacobo wife waited and was really worried when she did not see him return home from his shift friday night

” She became worried when she had not returned back home from working his shift at park last night so she drove to the park.

Before 5 am Saturday Police added Jacobo wife found him unresponsive in a parking lot next to park.

She called 911 and when paramedics reached they decide he had been stabbed but not able to revive him.

Pleasant Hill local Irene Enekow who was walking her dog Saturday morning revealed she was shocked to listen that she had stumbled onto a homicide investigation in the park of all places

I Just asked do you know what happened and the woman said it is my brother who is dead she added.

Pleasant Hill police have not identified a suspect and asking for anyone with information to call them.

Waymo driverless vehicle vandalized set on fire in San Francisco China Town

Waymo robot vehicle was set on fire Saturday night after it was vandalized by a group of person in Chinatown. San Francisco Firefighters added.

The car was travelling on Jackson Street between Stockton and Grant about 9 25 pm when it was surrounded by about 10-15 people Lt Mariano Elias with San Francisco fire expressed.

Multiple social media showed a group of people vandalizing the self driving car. Another footage showed the Waymo car going up in flames.

 Waymo said that the car was not carrying any passenger and no injuries were reported.

A Waymo spokesperson added the group of people surrounded the vehicle and started attacking it. The group tagged the car broke the window. Waymo told media that someone set off a firework inside the driverless car.

Football lovers and lovebirds to join local restaurants

It is a mega weekend for football lovebirds and lovers local restaurants are expected to busy with Sunday Big Game and early celebration of Valentine Day. Business owners revealed this weekend is needed after slower than normal begin of the year.

Local hotels are looking to score mega this weekend, the Hawaii Restaurant Association Executive Director Sheryl Matsuoka added business has slowed down after the holidays.

After holiday season till now it has been very slow and numbers are coming in very low. Matsuoka added.

As for mega game whether it be take out platter or viewing parties locations like Beastside Kitchen are getting ready.

A lot of cool stuff for whoever does come said Beastside Kitchen owner Jame Kiko.

“They wear their NFL gear and they get prizes right when you walk in door. Pretty much everyone is a winner if you come on time”
