Walgreens agreed to class action lawsuit settlement to solve claim its erratically denied applicants job chance due to background checks without providing the required notices.
According to class action lawsuit, Walgreens failed to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRA when denying job applicants employment based on background reports.
The pharmacy chain allegedly sent email notification that does not meet FCRA requirements.
The settlement give advantage those who applied to work at Walgreens and were denied employment based on background report obtained by Walgreen between March 30, 2020 and May 17, 2022.
