FBI Atlanta: Apalache High School Shooter Colt Gary was investigated for danger

The FBI Atlanta Division Wednesday night announced it had get threat past year involving then 13 year old Colt Gray the suspect in Wednesday shooting at Apalachee High School.

The threats include photos of guns and FBI decide that the posts originated in Georgia in Jackson County.

The FBI turned more than the evidence to the Jackson County Sheriff office which interviewed Gray and his father who said that he had hunting guns in the house but Gray does not have reach to them,

The Jackson County Sheriff Office replied on social media with a note from Sheriff Janis Mangum.

“My phone is blowing up with messages from people about social media posting about other possible incidents. To my knowledge there is not a list showing any of this “.

In May 2023 the National Threat Operations center get tips about online threats to commit a school shooting at unidentified location and time.

On Wednesday Gray was identified by the GBI as suspect who killed two teachers and two students while injuring nine others at Apalachee High School.

GBI Director Chris Hosey confirmed the FBI information.

There was no cause at time for an arrest or additional law enforcement action, the post add. Jackson County alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the subject.

Apalachee High School is in Barrow County and not Jackson County schools or any city schools within Jackson County.

Gray attended a school in Jackson County before heading into the Barrow County School District.
