2024 National Dominican Day Parade in New York City

The National Dominican Day Parade is taking to streets once again on Sunday in a celebration of culture pride and community in New York City.

This year crowd and marchers are celebrating the 42nd anniversary of the parade which will start at noon. The parade runs along the Avenue of America from 37th street and 55the street.

The theme for this year parade is Merengue Neustro Ritmo. The theme aims to recognize merengue as over a musical genres and rather a vital part of the Dominican identity.

Program start in 2015 the National Dominican Day Parade has committed more than $1 million in funding to over 200 students across 20 states.

By offering parade organizers, scholarships and boar members aim to assist students of Dominican descent attaint a college degree.

“We are celebrating 175 year of its existence so we are going to share with the community its roots where did the ritmo come from where did ryhthm originally come from.” one of board member said.

The annual event celebrates Dominican culture folklore and traditions with parade floats musical guests.

Among those being honored at the parade include President Pedro Brache Alvarez, Grupo Rica CEO.

The parade is not a celebration of Dominican heritage it is a time to fundraise and assist young students get their goals through its scholarship program.

The parade will start at 12 pm Sunday Aug 11 at Sixth Avenue and 37th Street in Manhattan.

Floats will show groups like President Beer, NYC Football Club, Camali Music Group, Marching on will be performers including La Fuerza Dance Studio and Ballet Folkorico Xiomara Carbera.

Los Hermanos Rosario are performing ar sold out gala on Friday will serve as Grand Marshals of the parade.

Jochy Santos will be crowned king of the parade with rapper Bulin 47 taking title of International king.

Julianne Hough open up how Hayley Erbert tragic health scare affected their family

Julianne Hough know that despite any family squabble the Houghs always look after each other when it matters most.

Julianne Hough older brother 39 year old pro dancer Derek Hough married 29 year old Erber in August 2023.

In December Derek Hough revealed his wife underwent emergency surgery for cranial hematoma following a performance on Symphony of Dance tour.

Various several surgeries and recovery process he called nothing short of a miracle.

the pair resumed the tour which had been postponed due to Erbert health issues.

“Whatever weirdness might have been around anything we really do care so much and people want to help when you are left with life or death situations nothing else matters”

“When something tragic happens what just happened with Derek and Haley. there could have been little things jus kind of looming in the background.

When her brother posted about Erbert hospitalization on Dec 7 Hough reposted his Instagram to her Instagram story. “Please pray and send all your love healing and light to Hayley and Derek.

On April 5 Erbert took to Instagram to share her feeling about being able to return to dancing.

Derek and Julianne Hough along with siblings Sharee Katherine and Marabeth grew up in a Mormon family.

The  spent their early childhood in Utah as professional dancers in England.

“I m so blessed to have family that I have even when we are not all on same page.”

This year the sales tax holiday will take place on Saturday Aug 10 and Sunday Aug 11.

Susan Wojcicki who served as CEO of YouTube for 9 years during a time of mega progress for the video platform and was one of Google first hires died on Friday August 9.

Wojcicki death after two year collision with cancer was revealed by her husband Dennis Troper in a public news Friday evening on social media platform.

Girls outclass boys in class 9th exams rawalpindi board

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Rawalpindi has revealed the results of annual class 9 board examinations. BISE Chairman Adnan Khan and Controller of Examination Tanveer Asghar Awan released the results during a presso releasing on Friday.

Once again girls outperformed boys.A total of 125,715 candidates registered for the exams while 123790 appeared. 61,289 were boys and 62,501 were girls.

The overall pass rate stood at 45.84% with 56.84% of girls passing compared to 34.63% of boys.

Total candidates 56,749 passed 67,034 failed and 1622 were absent.
