Michelle Obama wins second Grammy for Best Audio Book Recording, Defeating Meryl Streep and Bernie Sanders

The former first lady faced high contest in the 2024 Grammys storytelling category winning for her narration of ” The Light We Carry”.

Michelle Obama grab second Grammy Award on Sunday defeating other great contestant in the storytelling category. The former 1st lady won the award for best audio book storytelling and narration recording at this year pre telecast ceremony for doing the voiceover on her latest book The Light We Carry Overcoming in Uncertain Times.

The category included Sen Bernie Sanders, Meryl Steep, William Shatner and Rick Rubin books.

Obama previously won a Grammy in 2020 for audiobook for her first memoir, Becoming. She was not present to accept the award presenter Esperanza Spalding added she would accept on her behalf.

Michelle win for The Light We Carry she ties her Grammy count with husband and former President Barack Obama who has 2 awards in the spoken word category.

The Light We Carry published in November 2022 is a collection of Obama experience as political figure a spouse, a mother and woman in world.In telling stories that offer “insightful reflections on change challenge and power”. Obama work for her 3rd book has earned her a position on the New York Time Bestseller list and nabber her an Emmy nomination through a Netflix with Oprah.

Half a memoir and half a self help book Obama nonfiction project arose from the world ongoing political unrest and uncertainty in face of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Former first lady Michelle Obama get a nomination and win at the 66th annual Grammy Awards she did not make appearance at the ceremony tonight.

Obama earned the award for Best Audio Book Narration and Storytelling Recording for ” The Light We Carry Overcoming in Uncertain Times.

This is not Obama first Grammy.

Obama wrote The Light We Carry during the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2023 she shared with people that self help/memoir book came from all queries she would receive.
