Michael Strahan daughter Isabella, 19 reveals brain tumor battle and diagnosis

Michael Strahan and his daughter Isabella unfolded in sentimental “Good Morning America” interview she has been fighting with brain tumor.

Doctors expressed Isabella that she had a malignant brain tumor call as medulloblastoma in October about a month after she start facing issue of severe headaches at the beginning of her freshman year of college.

Medulloblastoma is a type of malignant tumor that accounts for almost 20% of all childhood brain tumors according to medical journal.

After undergoing a battery of tests, including an MRI, Isabella was pushed to Cedars Sinai Hospital where she know her rapid growing 4 centimeter tumor.

The day before her 19th birthday, Isabella underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor, she had to relearn how ro walk with help from her twin sister, Sophia. She also underwent radiation therapy and 30 day of rehablitation.

Despite side effects from her treatment Isabella told she is feeling good and looking forward to getting back to her everyday life. Im very excited for this whole process to wrap. You just have to keep living every day. I think through the whole thing she told.

Isabella will relocate back to East Coast to begin chemotherapy at Duke Children Hospital & Health Center in Durham North Carolina.

That is my next step. I m ready for it to begin and be one day closer to being over. she expressed.

Strahan and his second ex wife Jean Muggli shares Sophia and Isabella. He is als a father of daughter Tanita and Michael Jr shares with his frst Wife Wanda Hutchins.

Michael Strahan said he learned the new before Isabell and “It didnot feel real” ” don’t really remember much” he said. ” I just remember trying to sort out how to get to LA ASAP and it just does not feel real. It Jus did not feel real.”

Medulloblastoma is a cancerous and rapid growing brain tumor that develop in cerebellum, the back of the brain where movement and coordination are controlled.

Isabella Strahan said she thought she had vertigo but a few weeks after noticing her symptoms, she said she woke up on Oct 25 and known her condition had taken a turn for the worse.

“I woke up probably at like 1 pm. I dreaded walking up. I was throwing up blood” she remember ” I was like,”Hm this probably isnot good.” So I texted my sister who then notified the whole family”

Her symptoms persisted and Michael Strahan said they encouraged Isabella to get medical attention.
