Lego to release Notre Dam Cathedral Set

Lego will release a model of Paris Notre Dame Cathedral this summer, LEGO Architecture line, various LEGO news sites reported.

The LEGO Notre Dame Cathedral will one of the mega sets ever released in LEGO Architecture line . The set which consist of more than 4300 brick will retail for $229.99 and will go on sale June 1 a LEGO website added.

The release date of the LEGO Notre Dame Cathedral set is six months before the Paris Cathedral planned reopening on December 8 2024 and is after 5 year anniversary of the fire that destroyed a large portion of the cathedral roof.

Construction is ongoing and will continue for various years after the cathedral reopens, Paris tourism office added.

On April 15 2019 a fire begin on the roof of Notre Dame damaging the cathedral roof and destroying its spire. Rebuilding efforts have continued and spire was officially replace on December 6 2023.

Notre Dame is legitimized by the sets architectural focus on the monument Falcon Bricks Added. Normally LEGO does not release sets that have religious connotation Falcon Bricks said.

LEGO revealed that they did not plan on releasing a Notre Dame Cathedral set at that time a representative from LEGO said.

Taj Mahal set in 2019 with the release. The Taj Mahal is tomb of Mumtaz Mahal wife of Emperor Shah Jahan LEGO added. A mosque is located in the complex.

Photos of the LEGO Notre Dame Cathedral set are not available Falcon Bricks added. The cathedral is believed to be only LEGO Architecture set that released in 2024.

The Chucrh of Saint Sulpice is serving as cathedral for the Archdiocese of Paris while Notre Dame Cathedral is under construction.
