Shockwaves in Tehran: How the US-Israel Strike Took Down Iran’s Supreme Leader in Broad Daylight

The reported killing of Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, marked one of the most consequential covert operations in modern Middle Eastern history. According to emerging details, the strike was the culmination of a months-long intelligence effort coordinated between the United States and Israel, blending technical surveillance, human intelligence, and rapid-strike military planning.

The attack, which took place in central Tehran during the morning hours, deviated from the typical doctrine of nocturnal targeted assassinations. Instead, planners reportedly capitalized on a narrow window of actionable intelligence indicating Khamenei’s presence at a specific compound alongside senior military officials.

Intelligence Penetration and “Pattern of Life” Tracking

For months prior to the strike, US and Israeli intelligence agencies tracked the Supreme Leader’s movements. The operation appears to have relied heavily on advanced surveillance techniques — potentially including telecommunications interception, metadata analysis, and the tracking of associated personnel such as security aides.

During previous operations, Israel has demonstrated an ability to exploit mobile and telecom networks to map high-value targets. By building a “pattern of life” model — a standard intelligence methodology used to predict routines and vulnerabilities — planners were able to anticipate windows of opportunity.

In this instance, US intelligence, reportedly from the CIA, provided timely confirmation of Khamenei’s location. Israeli forces then executed the strike component.

United States

The Strike: Execution and Military Coordination

The attack reportedly involved Israeli jets deploying approximately 30 precision-guided munitions around 9:40 local time. The high number of bombs suggests attempts to penetrate reinforced underground structures, as Khamenei was believed to be operating from a bunker beneath the compound.

It remains unclear whether the aircraft entered deep Iranian airspace or launched stand-off weapons from distance. Israeli aircraft typically require roughly two hours to reach Tehran from home bases.

Simultaneously, then-US President Donald Trump and senior officials monitored the operation from Mar-a-Lago, which functioned as a temporary coordination center.

Confirmation of Khamenei’s death reportedly took several hours.

Senior Iranian Officials Also Killed

Israel announced that seven senior Iranian defence figures were killed in the coordinated strikes, including:

  • Ali Shamkhani (Defence Council Secretary)

  • Brig Gen Aziz Nasirzadeh (Defence Minister)

  • Gen Mohammad Pakpour (IRGC commander)

These simultaneous eliminations indicate the strike was not purely symbolic but structured as a broader decapitation strategy aimed at crippling Iran’s command-and-control architecture.

Strategic Implications

The killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader represents an unprecedented escalation in US-Iran-Israel hostilities. Several key implications emerge:

1. Iranian Counterintelligence Failure

Iran was reportedly aware that its leadership was under surveillance. The successful strike suggests either systemic intelligence failure or superior adaptive surveillance by US-Israeli services.

2. Succession Planning

Iran had reportedly prepared succession frameworks for senior leadership positions, including the Supreme Leader role. The speed and cohesion of transition will determine regime stability.

3. Regional Escalation

Iran has already launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and US-linked facilities in Gulf states. Escalation risk remains high, particularly around:

  • The Strait of Hormuz

  • Gulf Arab states hosting US bases

  • Israeli urban centers

4. Energy Market Volatility

Strikes near maritime routes and reports of tanker incidents have triggered fears of oil price spikes and shipping disruptions.

Broader Geopolitical Context

The operation signals an evolution in targeted killing doctrine:

  • Greater reliance on real-time technical intelligence

  • Closer US-Israel operational division of labor

  • Acceptance of overt, daylight strategic strikes

It also places Washington at the center of a potential regime-change dynamic — a move that carries significant domestic and international political risk.

CIA

FBI

Conclusion

The months-long tracking and eventual killing of Ali Khamenei was not an isolated tactical strike but the product of sustained intelligence penetration, strategic patience, and high-level coordination between the US and Israel.

Whether this operation reshapes the Iranian regime or triggers prolonged regional war remains uncertain. What is clear is that it marks one of the most consequential targeted killings in modern geopolitical history — with ripple effects that will define Middle Eastern security dynamics for years.

Hollywood Mega-Merger: Paramount to Buy Warner Bros Discovery in $110 Billion Deal After Netflix Walks Away

CNN, CBS, HBO, DC and Mission Impossible Set to Unite Under One Media Giant

In one of the biggest shake-ups in entertainment history, Paramount Global has agreed to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery in a massive $110 billion deal — ending a dramatic bidding war after Netflix stepped out of the race.

The merger, valued at $81 billion in equity, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, pending shareholder and regulatory approval.

If approved, the deal will reshape Hollywood — creating a new media powerhouse that combines some of the world’s most valuable studios, networks, and franchises under one roof.

Paramount

CBS

What the Paramount–Warner Bros Deal Includes

The newly combined company will control:

  • Major studios behind blockbuster franchises

  • Networks including CNN and CBS

  • A film library of more than 15,000 titles

  • Global franchises such as:

    • Game of Thrones

    • Mission: Impossible

    • Harry Potter

    • DC Universe films

The companies pledged to release at least 30 theatrical films per year — a move aimed at reassuring cinema operators concerned about declining big-screen output.

Paramount Warner Bros Deal

Paramount deal

Why Netflix Walked Away

Netflix had previously offered $27.75 per share for key Warner assets. Paramount countered with a superior $31-per-share offer, triggering intense negotiations.

Ultimately, Netflix declined to match the higher bid.

Ironically, Netflix still benefits financially. Paramount paid a $2.80 billion termination fee to cover Warner’s previous agreement with Netflix.

Market reaction reflected the shift:

  • Paramount shares rose roughly 3% in extended trading.

  • Netflix shares slipped around 1%.

How the $110 Billion Deal Is Being Funded

The acquisition will be financed through:

  • $47 billion in equity from the Ellison family and RedBird Capital Partners

  • $54 billion in debt commitments from major banks

  • A rights offering of up to $3.25 billion in Class B stock

Paramount and Warner estimate over $6 billion in cost savings from integrating technology platforms, consolidating operations, and eliminating redundancies.

However, analysts warn that the added debt burden could pressure the combined company in a highly competitive streaming environment.

Regulatory Scrutiny Intensifies

The merger is already under review by California regulators. State Attorney General Rob Bonta has indicated the review will be “vigorous.”

European Union antitrust approval is expected to be smoother, with only limited divestments likely.

Lawmakers and industry groups, including the Writers Guild of America, have raised concerns that consolidation could:

  • Reduce competition

  • Limit creative opportunities

  • Increase subscription prices for consumers

Cinema operators are also worried about potential job losses and fewer theatrical releases.

What This Means for Streaming and Hollywood

The merger signals a dramatic shift in the media landscape:

  • Streaming has disrupted traditional TV revenue models.

  • Consolidation is accelerating as companies seek scale.

  • Intellectual property is now the most valuable asset in entertainment.

By combining Warner’s deep IP catalog with Paramount’s production strength, the new entity positions itself to compete more aggressively with Netflix and other global streamers.

But the scale of the merger also makes it one of the most consequential media deals of the decade — and one that could permanently alter Hollywood’s competitive balance.

Paramount

Paramount

What Happens Next?

  • Warner Bros Discovery shareholders are expected to vote in spring 2026.

  • Regulatory reviews could take months.

  • If approved, the merger would close in Q3 2026.

Until then, Hollywood enters a period of uncertainty — and intense scrutiny.

Why This Story Is Trending

This is not just a corporate acquisition. It’s a generational shift in the global entertainment industry, affecting:

  • Streaming wars

  • Theatrical film production

  • News networks

  • Consumer subscription pricing

The Paramount–Warner merger could determine who dominates the next decade of media.

Middle East Travel Chaos: Dubai, Doha & Tel Aviv Flights Cancelled After Iran Retaliation

Air travel across the Middle East has been thrown into turmoil after Iran launched missile and drone strikes in retaliation for joint US-Israeli military action.

Major carriers including Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Wizz Air have cancelled or diverted flights, while key airports in Dubai, Doha, and Tel Aviv faced suspensions or severe disruption.

For travellers, it has meant grounded planes, long airport waits, and last-minute cancellations.

Travel

United States

Why Flights Are Being Cancelled

The disruption follows coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian targets. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting locations in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Both Iranian and Israeli airspace were subsequently closed, forcing airlines to reroute aircraft away from one of the busiest aviation corridors in the world.

Because the Gulf region connects Europe, Asia, and Australia, even limited closures quickly triggered global ripple effects.

United Arab Emirates

Air Travel

Flights in and out of:

  • Dubai International Airport

  • Al Maktoum International Airport

were temporarily suspended as regional airspace restrictions intensified.

Emirates paused operations until Sunday afternoon local time. Airport authorities also confirmed staff injuries during the escalation.

Operations at Hamad International Airport were suspended after Qatari airspace closed.

Later, Qatar Airways announced limited service resumption. Explosions were reportedly heard in Doha after missile interceptions by Qatari defence systems.

Heathrow and European Routes Affected

At Heathrow Airport, passengers faced immediate cancellations and delays:

  • British Airways suspended Tel Aviv and Bahrain services.

  • Virgin Atlantic cancelled Dubai and Riyadh flights.

  • Long-haul routes to India, Saudi Arabia and the Maldives were rerouted, increasing flight times.

Some travellers reported sitting onboard aircraft for hours before being told departures were cancelled

Travel Warnings Issued

The UK government urged nationals in affected Gulf countries to shelter in place. Prime Minister Keir Starmer chaired an emergency Cobra meeting to assess the situation.

US President Donald Trump said the strikes were linked to Iran’s nuclear programme and regional security concerns.

Foreign ministries across Europe and North America updated advisories, warning of further disruption.

Why This Is a Big Deal for Global Travel

The Gulf region handles a significant share of global transit traffic:

  • Dubai and Doha are among the world’s busiest international hubs.

  • Thousands of connecting passengers rely on these airports daily.

  • Rerouting adds fuel costs, delays, and scheduling complications.

If tensions persist, airlines may continue to suspend services, potentially impacting fares and availability during peak travel periods.

What Travellers Should Do

  • Check airline apps and official websites before heading to the airport.

  • Monitor travel advisories from your home country.

  • Prepare for delays, rebooking, or overnight airport stays.

  • Confirm refund or compensation policies directly with airlines.

Flexibility is critical as airspace decisions are evolving rapidly.

The Bigger Picture

The latest escalation has turned the Middle East into a flashpoint not only geopolitically but also for global aviation networks. As airspace closures expand and military tensions remain high, airlines are prioritizing safety over schedules.

For now, uncertainty remains — and travellers worldwide are feeling the impact.

United Arab Emirates

Bahrain

FAQs

Are Dubai flights cancelled?
Many departures were temporarily suspended, though limited operations are resuming.

Is Doha airport open?
Operations were halted but are gradually restarting.

Which airlines are affected?
Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Wizz Air have confirmed cancellations or rerouting.

Will flights resume soon?
Resumptions depend on regional security assessments and airspace reopenings.

Project 2025 and Trump’s Second Term: How a Conservative Blueprint Is Reshaping America

When Donald Trump returned to the White House after the 2024 election, one document quietly moved from political lightning rod to governing playbook: The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025.

During the campaign, Trump publicly distanced himself from the 900-page plan, saying he disagreed with parts of it. But nearly a year into his second term, many of its ideas are no longer theoretical. They’re policy.

From immigration crackdowns to federal workforce cuts and foreign policy shifts toward Latin America and China, analysts say roughly half of Project 2025’s proposals have already been implemented in some form.

This isn’t just about one document. It’s about how modern presidential power works — and how quickly a prepared movement can reshape the federal government.

What Is Project 2025?

Project 2025 is a comprehensive policy roadmap developed by The Heritage Foundation and released in 2023, before it was even certain who would lead the Republican ticket.

At the center of it is a document called Mandate for Leadership, which outlines:

  • Expanding presidential authority

  • Restructuring or downsizing federal agencies

  • Replacing career civil servants with political appointees

  • Rolling back diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs

  • Reasserting conservative social policies

    • Taking a harder line on immigration and foreign policy

Unlike traditional think-tank white papers, Project 2025 didn’t just propose goals — it detailed how to execute them administratively and legally. That operational depth is what makes it different.

How Much of Project 2025 Has Been Implemented?

Independent trackers estimate that between 51% and 53% of the agenda has been initiated or completed in Trump’s first year back in office.

Major Policies Enacted So Far

Here’s where implementation has been most visible:

1. Immigration Enforcement Expansion

Immigration was one of the clearest areas of alignment.

Policies implemented include:

  • Expanding detention capacity

  • Increasing workplace enforcement

  • Limiting protected zones such as schools and churches

  • Using federal resources more aggressively at the southern border

Border enforcement data shows detention capacity has increased significantly compared to 2023 levels, and expedited removal procedures have been expanded nationwide.

2. Federal Workforce Restructuring

Project 2025 called for reclassifying thousands of civil servants to make them easier to dismiss.

The administration has:

  • Reduced staffing across multiple federal agencies

  • Consolidated certain international aid operations

  • Reorganized executive branch authority

Several former contributors to the project now hold key government roles, helping translate theory into execution.

3. Foreign Aid and International Policy

Billions in foreign aid were paused or redirected. The administration has placed renewed focus on Latin America, particularly Venezuela under Nicolás Maduro.

While the original document urged pressure against Venezuela’s government, the administration went further by openly calling for leadership change.

The 2025 National Security Strategy also echoes the project’s framing of China as the primary global competitor.

Why Project 2025 Matters Beyond Trump

This is bigger than one presidency.

Project 2025 represents a shift in how political movements prepare for power. Historically, incoming administrations spent months staffing and organizing after an election win. This time, a ready-made governing structure was waiting.

Political data shows:

  • Over 4,000 federal positions can change with a new administration.

  • The U.S. federal workforce includes roughly 2.2 million civilian employees.

  • Executive orders in the first 100 days of second terms tend to increase compared to first terms.

Project 2025 anticipated these leverage points.

What Has NOT Been Implemented (Yet)

Despite significant progress, more than half of the proposals remain unrealized.

Unimplemented or partially implemented ideas include:

  • Rescinding approval of abortion pills and banning mail distribution

  • Adding a citizenship question to the U.S. Census

  • Reclassifying educators who discuss transgender issues

  • Major troop reductions in Europe

Midterm elections could determine how far the remaining agenda moves forward.

The Political Risk Factor

There’s an irony here.

By expanding executive authority, the current administration may be strengthening tools that future Democratic presidents could also use.

American political power tends to swing. Expanded presidential authority rarely shrinks once normalized.

That means Project 2025 may influence governance long after Trump’s term ends — regardless of party control.

Unique Insight: Why Project 2025 Succeeded Where Other Policy Agendas Failed

Most policy blueprints fail for three reasons:

  1. Lack of personnel alignment

  2. Bureaucratic resistance

  3. Legal bottlenecks

Project 2025 addressed all three in advance:

  • It built a recruitment pipeline for political appointees.

  • It mapped agency-by-agency vulnerabilities.

  • It anticipated legal challenges and structured language accordingly.

That level of institutional planning is rare in modern U.S. politics.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is Project 2025 officially Trump’s plan?

No. During the campaign, Trump publicly distanced himself from it. However, many of its contributors now serve in his administration, and several policies align closely with its proposals.

Who created Project 2025?

It was developed by The Heritage Foundation, a long-standing conservative policy organization based in Washington, D.C.

How much of Project 2025 has been implemented?

Independent analyses estimate roughly half (around 51–53%) of its proposals have been initiated or enacted in some form.

Does Project 2025 expand presidential power?

Yes. One of its central goals is strengthening executive authority over federal agencies and reducing the autonomy of career civil servants.

Could Democrats use the same expanded powers later?

Potentially, yes. Expanded executive authority applies to whoever occupies the White House in the future.

The Bigger Picture: A New Era of Governing by Blueprint

Project 2025 isn’t just a conservative wishlist. It represents a shift in American governance strategy — moving from campaign messaging to operational readiness.

The real story isn’t whether every proposal passes.

It’s that:

  • A political movement prepared in advance.

  • It entered office with staffing plans.

  • It had legal strategies pre-written.

  • And it moved immediately.

That level of preparation shortens the traditional adjustment period of a new administration from months to weeks.

If trends continue, future presidential candidates — from both parties — may feel pressure to arrive with similarly detailed governing blueprints.

Conclusion: Why Project 2025 Will Define More Than One Presidency

Love it or fear it, Project 2025 has already reshaped the first year of Trump’s second term.

Its impact goes beyond immigration raids or agency restructurings. It has tested the outer boundaries of executive authority and demonstrated how coordinated policy design can accelerate change.

But the story is still unfolding.

With midterm elections ahead and several proposals still on the table, the remaining three years could determine whether Project 2025 becomes a lasting ideological transformation — or a high-water mark.

Either way, one thing is clear:

American politics has entered an era where elections are no longer just about ideas — they’re about execution plans.

Astronomers surprised by Rocky Planet in wrong place

Scientists have identified a rockey outer plant in system where gas giant was expected.

The discover challenges traditional models and help the idea that planets may form one by one in change environments.

When scientists survey systems across the Milky Way they desire to see familiar arrangement.

Small worlds circle close to their parent star while large gas giants orbit much farther out.

Astronomers

Space

Our solar system fits this perfectly.

The inner planets Mars, Earth, Venus and Earth are mainly for rock and metal.

Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune are dominated by thick gaseous envelopes.

This layout is explained by accepted model of planet formation.

Young stars emit powerful radiation that can strip gases from nearby developing planets leaving dense, rocky cores behind.

Cooler temperatures permit planets to retain thick atmospheres enabling them to progress into gas giants.

A Rule Breaking System Around LHS 1903

A latest study system orbiting the star LHS 1903 does not follow this structure.

The results were publish in science.

LHS 1903 is red dwarf smaller and dimmer than our sun.

Researchers led by Prof Ryan Cloutier of McMaster University and Prof Thomas Wilson of University of Warwick combine observation from telescopes on Earth and in space to analyze the system.

They identify three planets.

Closest to star is rocky world followed by two gas rich planets similar to scaled down version of Neptune.

We have seen this pattern, rocky inside, gaseous outside across hundreds of planetary systems.

The discovery of rocky planet in outer part of system forces us to rethink the timing and conditions under which rocky planets can form says Cloutier who is assistant professor in Department of Physics and Astronomy.

New observations from European Space Agency CHEOPS satellite uncovered an unexpected fourth planet famous as LHS 1903 e.

It orbits from star and appears to rocky rather than gaseous.

Inside Out Planet Formation Theory

Most models added that planets emerge within protoplanetary disc a rotating cloud of gas and dust surrounding young star.

In this disc clumps of material from multiple planetary embryos at roughly the same time.

More than millions of years those embryos grow into fully formed planets with different size and compositions.

The unusual structure of LHS 1903 system points to other possibility famous as inside out planet formation.

The makeup of planet depends on local environment at time it completes it formation deciding whether it becomes gas rich or remains rocky.

By time it start assembling much of surrounding gas in disc may have dissipated leaving too little material to build atmosphere.

It is remarkable to see rocky world forming in environment that should not favour that outcome.

It challenges assumptions built into our current model says Cloutier.

Trump nominates Federal Reserve critic Kevin Warsh to run US central bank

Trump outline Warsh credentials for Fed role

We can bring you more of what US President Donald Trump has said about Kevin Warsh who he has nominated as new chair of the Federal Reserve.

In his post on Truth Social announcing Warsh nomination Trump outline the reash why warsh past experience will equip him to be a great chairman.

He has conducted extensive research in field of Economic and Finance.

Trump says as he credits Warsh for issuing an independent report to Bank of England proposing reforms in conduct of Monetary Policy in UK.

He outlines Warsh previous tenure in Federal reserve last time as member of the Fed board of governors between 2006 and 2011

What is the Federal Reserve?

The Federal Reserve Fed is the US central bank.

It operates independently from government and one of its role to support strong economy through its monetary policy.

This policy has two main goals often linked as Fed dual mandate they are

to support stable prices.

support maximum employment

The Fed uses interest rate as tool for achieving these goals.

Putting interest rates up or keeping them high can help control inflation.

It can have negative impact on economy over time making it more expensive for household and businesses to repay the interest on debts.

A long period of high interest rates can put brakes on economic growth and slow jobs market.

The Fed seems to think economy is showing signs of resillience.

Interest rate is 3.5% to 3.75 % this week.

What we know about Kevin Warsh?

Kevin Warsh, who served as a Fed governor from 2006 to 2011, has been an outspoken Fed critic, lambasting everything from the central bank’s heavy reliance on data to its use of assets on its balance sheet.

The 55-year-old economist, a fellow at the right-leaning Hoover Institution who serves on the board of UPS, had also been considered for Fed chair during Trump’s first term.

He briefly overtook Trump loyalist Kevin Hassett in prediction markets last month before falling back to second place.

Warsh had a relatively “hawkish” reputation in his first stint as Fed governor, meaning that he tended to favour higher interest rates and focused on concerns about inflation.

What Could happen if the USA attacks Iran? Here are seven scenarios

The US appears poised to strike Iran within days

The potential targets are mega predictable the outcome is not.

if not last minute deal can be reached with Tehran and President Donald Trump decides to order US forces to attack then what are possible results.

USA Iran War

Middle East

Regime collapses replace by Chaos

This real danger and one of mega worries of neighbors like Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The possible of civil war like experience by Syria Yemen and Libya there is danger that in chaos and confusion ethnic tensions could spill over into armed conflict as Kurds,  Baluci and other minorities look safeguard their own people and nationwide power vacuum.

The greatest danger is President Trump having amassed this powerful close to Iran borders decide he must act or lose face and war starts with no clear end state and with unpredictable and potential damaging repercussions.

Much of the Middle East would certainly be glad to see the back of the Islamic Republic, none more so than Israel which has already dealt heavy blows to Iran’s proxies across the region and which fears an existential threat from Iran’s suspected nuclear programme.

But nobody wants to see the largest Middle East nation by population – around 93 million – descend into chaos, sparking a humanitarian and refugee crisis.

USA President Donald Trump and Iran Presiden Ayatollah Khameni

Iran retaliates sinking a US warship

A US Navy Captain onboard a warship in Gold once told me that one of threats from Iran he worries about is swarm attack.

This is where Iran launches so many high explosive drones and fast torpedo boats at single or multiple targets that even US Navy formidable close in defense are unable to eliminate all of them in time,

Iran naval crews have focused much of their training on unconventional or asymmetric warfare looking ways to overcome or bypass the technical advantage enjoyed

by primary adversary the US Navy fifth fleet.

The IRGC ?navy has long replace by conventional Iranian Navy in Gulf some of commander were even trained at Dartmouth during time of Shah,

The sinking of US warship accompanied by possible capture of survivors among crew would be massive humiliation for US.

This scenario thought the billion dollar destroyer the USS Cole was crippled by AL Qaeda suicide attack in Aden harbour in 2000 killing 17 US sailors.

Iran response by laying mines in the Gulf

This has long loomed as danger to world shipping and oil supplies ever since the Iran Iraq war of 1980-88 when Iran did need mine the shipping lanes and Royal Navy minesweepers helped clear them.

The narrow strait of Hormuz between Oman and Iran is critical checkpoint.

Almost 20% of global liquified Natural Gas LNG exports and between 20-25% of oil and oil byproducts pass through this strait each year.

Iran has conducted exercises in deploying sea mines.

USA Iran War

Middle East

Iran retaliates by attacking US forces and neighbours

Iran has vowed to retaliate against any US attack adding that it is finger is on trigger.

It is clear no match for might of USA navy and Air Force but it could still lash out with arsenal of ballistic missiles and drones many concealed in caves underground to remote mountainsides.

The devastating missile and drone attack on Saudi Aramco petrochemical facilities in 2019 attributed to Iranian backed army in Iraq showed the Saudia just how they were to Iranian missiles.

Iran Gulf Arab neighbours all US allies are understandably extreme jitter right now that US army action is going to end up rebounding on them.

Regime collapses, replaced by military rule

Many view this is most like possible result.

The regime is clear infamous with many and each successive wave of protest over year weakens if further there remains huge security deep state with interest in status quo.

The principal reason why protest have so far failed to overthrow the regime is there have been no defection to their side.

Those in control are prepared to use unlimited force to remain in power.
