AT&T express leaked data of 70 million people is not from its systems

AT&T says massive breach of data impacting 71 million people did not originate from its systems after a hacker leaked it on a cybercrime forum and claimed it was stolen in 2021 breach of the company.

The data is from an alleged 2021 AT&T data breach that a threat actor famous as ShinyHunters tried to sell on the Radio Forums data theft forum for starting price of $200,000 and incremental offers of $30,000.

The hackers stated they would sell it for $1 million.

AT&T told the media the data did not originate from them and systems were not breached.

They still see no evidence of a breach in their systems and still believe that this data did not originate from them.

AT&T does not respond that it was possible the data come from 3rd party service provider or vendor but has not get a reply at this time.

Alleged AT&T data leaked two years later

Another threat actor famous as Major Nelson leaked data from this alleged 2021 data breach fro free on a hacking forum claiming it was the data ShinyHunters tried to sell in 2021.

This data includes name, mobile phone numbers encrypted, date of birth, encrypted social security number and other internal data.

The threat actors have decrypted the birth dates and social security numbers and added them to another file in the leak making those accessible.

We cannot confirm that all 73 million lines are accurate we verified some data contains correct information, addresses, date of birth, phone numbers and social security numbers.

Cybersecurity researchers Dark Web Informer and VX Underground have confirmed some of data to be accurate.

If you were an AT&T customer before and through 2021 it is assume that your data was exposed and can be used in targeted attacks including email phishing and SMS and SIM swapping attacks.

If you get any SMS texts or phishing emails claiming to be from AT&T be very careful about providing any data.

It could not find data for known to be AT&T customers in 2021 and earlier. This would not be uncommon as total mobile consumer base at end of 2021 was 201.8 million subscribers meaning that this data dump is legitimate it is a partial dump.

Cornwall’s Eden Project’s school lessons reach 75,000 students across the globe

The Eden Project say its live streaming lessons have reached 75000 schoolchildren across the globe.
Mr Kirkman said free live streams start as a trial but gained attraction from educators.
Its schools team based in Cornwall added it had broadcast to students in UK, Portugal, Netherlands, Japan, USA and Canada.
It said lessons were streamed live from rainforest biome educating pupils on tropics and important plants.
He said to reach more than 75000 students many of whom may not have had the chance to visit the Eden Project before truly heartening.
They live streaming lessons provide us with opportunity to fulfil Eden mission by engaging different audiences connecting them to one another and bringing them closer to the living world.
Robbie Kirkman education team lead added it was amazing to see how well received the lessons were.

‘Step by Step’ cast remembers Suzanne Somers at 90s con reunion

Suzanne Somers die in October 2023 following a ten year long fight with breast cancer.

Suzanne Somers was missed during Step by Step cast reunion at 90s Con.

Step by Step created by William Bickley and Michael Warren aired on ABC from September 1991 to August 1997 then moved to CBS where it ran from September 1997 to june 1998.

Suzanne gave the beautiful thoughtful gifts and she was person of immense style and glamour in her real life and I will never forget and I still have them Keanan shared.

Lakin gushed over the Three Company Star ” Growing up with her and watching her as a woman as a businesswoman as someone who was huge star who had bright light who was so gorgeous and someone I Just really admired.”

Sasha Mitchell, Patrick Duffy, Jason Marsden, Castile, christopher, Christine Lakin, Angela Watson and Staci Keanan remembered their co star who passed away in October following breast cancer diagnosis.

Shortly after her death in October Duffy honored Somers with moving tribute to his friend.

” As with everyone who knew her I was stunned yesterday by the news that my dear and deep friend Suzanne had passed. For that brief moment it was unbelievable” he posted on Instagram.”

“But indeed she has passed. She beautifully passed through my life on this leg of her endless journey. My task is remain on roadside as she continues on”

Suzanne Somers was honored by cast of Step by Step nearly five months after her death.

Somers died from breast cancer at her home in Palm Desert on Oct. 15 . She was 76.

On Sunday her former Step by Step co stars reunited at 90s con and share some legacy working on tv for decades as leading actress.

Duffy and Somers starred as single parent Frank Lambert and Carol Foster who fell in love married and joined families together.

The actress was known for her role as Chrissy Snow in sitcom Three’s Company. She gained a popularity in the 90s with Step by Step playing a widow named Carol Foster Lambert.

Flipkart valuation Declines by more than Rs 41,000 Crore in 2 years

Flipkart attribute the fall in valuation to the demerger of fintech firm PhonePe into a separate entity.

E commerce company Flipkarts valuation has decreased by USD 5 billion as of Jan 2024 compared to that in January 2022 according to equity transactions carried out by its US based parent company Walmart.

The valuation of the e commerce company declined to 35 billion US$ as january 31, 2024 from USD 40 billion in financial year ended on January 31, 2022 as per Walmart change in equity structure in Flipkart.

Valuation Exercise

Flipkart sources added the enterprise valuation exercise was done in 2021 and total value of firm included fintech firm PhonePe valuation as well.

Flipkart’s valuation remains what it was in 2021 adjusting for PhonePe hive off a company source added.

PhonePe is now valued at over USD 12 billion after a USD 850 million fund raise from group of investors including TVS Capital Funds, Ribbit Capital, Tiger Global etc.
