To formalise the event the Rap God released an obituary in Detroit Free Press on Monday May 13 to declared Slim Shady dead.

Eminem is laying his change ego Slim Shady to rest with release of his 12th studio album. The Death of Slim Shady.

The obituary comes weeks after Eminem declared his new album on Instagram.

The eulogy concludes “May he truly find peace in an afterlife that he could not find on Earth”

The teasers is part of fictional Detroit Murder Files a true crime reported declaring death of Slim Shady showing his complex rhymes and various enemies.

The latest project will be Eminem first full length release since 2020 Music to Be Murdered By.
