Pasco and Pinellas counties have issued mandatory evacuations for zones A, B, C.

Hillsborough has order evacuations for residents in zones A and B as well manufactured homes.

Pinellas and Hillsborough counties have canceled class through Wednesday.

Pasco has closed schools through Friday.

Forecasters expect to be dangerous hurricane that could bring 10-15 feet of storm surge to Tampa Bay.

Tropical storm force winds could reach Tampa Bay area as early Wednesday morning.

The Tampa Bay area remains rough in middle of forecast cone and in stretch of coastline that could see as 15 feet of surge.

The National Weather Service in 5 am advisory warns that Hurricane Milton is dangerous storm that will produce a mega area of destructive storm surge along Florida west coast.

Miami Orlando and Tampa are forecast to get four to eight inches of rain through Thursday.

That would equivalent of entire month worth of rain for Miami two months worth of rain for Orlando and three months worth rain for Tampa.

Locations within state interior could see over 10 inches of rain total.

The storm could prolong recovery efforts from Helene and impact Florida Gulf Coast communities still recuperating from Helene the release said.

When is Milton Hitting Florida

Tampa, Orlando and Miami are forecast to get four to eight inches of rain through Thursday.

Two months worth of rain for Orlando and three months worth of rain for Tampa.

Locations within state interior could see over 10 inches of rain total.
