Chase suspect driving wrong way hit into oncoming traffic on 405 Fwy in Brentwood

A chase suspect was taken into police custody Friday morning after driving into oncoming traffic and colliding into various vehicles on 405 Freeway in the Brentwood area.

It seems the drivers who were hit only get minor injuries. At least one man from crash was taken to the hospital.

The chase started from accident at 4:30 am on 4th avenue in the Venice area. According to Los Angeles Police Department the suspect in white van rammed into patrol vehicles leaving at least 2 officers with injuries.

Various northbound lanes were shutdown in aftermath of chase.

Officers then started the pursuit which made its way onto the 405 Freeway.

At one point driver turned around and initiated driving the wrong way on northbound lanes of the freeway with various patrol cars close behind.

The driver collided into at least three vehicle and semi truck before she climbed out of car and on top of semi trucks hood and tried to get inside.

Police rapidly in on foot and took suspect into custody.

The suspect drove recklessly and hit past oncoming traffic. The chase finally come to end when driver of the white van violently hit head on into a group of vehicles that had been stopped by police near Wilshire Boulevard.

Most northbound lanes were shut down in the aftermath of the chase.
