Ken Page, whose Broadway resume originating roles in important productions in musical theater history died Monday. He was 70.Page’ s death is Broadway community coming the same day as Tony winner Gavin Creel whose death in the day had led to outpouring of grief.On TV, he made his debut opposite his Aint Misbehavin costar Nell Carter on Gimme a Break was a regular on short live series Sable.He was the Walrus on live action series Adventures in Wonderland.He was seen on series Family Matters, Touched by an Angel and south central.Shari Belafonte posted”Ken Page one of sweetest most talented guys on the planet I could not believe it but its true”His film included Dreamgirls, Torch Song Trilogy, All Dogs Go to Heaven, Oogie Boogie in “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.Page born January 20, 1954 in St Louis had Broadway debut in role of the Lion in 1975 smash The Wiz.He played Nicely Nicely Johnson in 1976 revival of Guys and Dolls.

Page’s death was revealed by mates including Dorian Hannaway who wrote on Facebook

“Ken Page has passed onto next show. My heart is broken”

He passed quietly and peacefully at his home.

Page was born in 1954 and went on to have career in theatre initiation with in chorus of The Muny outdoor theatre in St Louis.

 Page had roles in Torch Song Trilogy, All Dogs Go to Heaven I ll Do Anything, Dreamgirls .
He voice the role on occasions in the Kingdom Heats video game series.
He made his broadway debut in Te Wiz.
He perform in Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors.
Page was born and raised in St Louis and graduated from Bishop Dubourg High School.
Page attended Fontbonne College in Clayton on a full scholarship.
Ken Page was 70 years old at time of passing.
