CrowdStrike the cybersecurity firm crashed millions of computers with a botched update across globe past week is offering its partners a $10 Uber Eat gift card as an apology On Tuesday a firm received an email from CrowdStrike offering them gift card because company recognizes the additional work that July 19 incident has caused. And for that we send our heartfelt thanks and apologies for inconvenience. The email was sent from CrowdStrike email address in name of Daniel Bernard the company chief business officer. On Friday CrowdStrike released a faulty update that rendered around 8.5 million windows devices unusable according to Microsoft. The news caused the affected computers to be stuck at infamous blue screen of death or BSOD a bright blue error screen with text that shown when Windows crashes. The outage caused delay at airports in Amsterdam, Berlin, London and Dubai and across the US. It caused several hospitals to halt surgery and paralyzed numerous businesses across globe.
