Aloo Gosht Recipe Pakistani Potato & Meat Curry

Aloo Gosht is one of the most loveable dishes.It is one of my childhood most favorite dish.This delicious meals has traits of chunks of lamb or beef, soft potatoes. There are numerous recipe of Aloo Ghost. My Mother in Law use tomato. My mom keep the soup thick or very thin some use bhuna curry or roasted curry.

Aloo Gosht Banane Ka Tarika

Aloo Gosht curry needs to be a slightly red, brown shade the oil is on top and yellowish orange rim.The oil floating on above curry is symbol that curry and water is separated.Put all of ingredient in a pot with some water then fry for one hour. Add potatoes and saute it.Garnish with coriander and lemon juice.You can eat Aloo Gosht with Rice. Its taste is awesome.

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 ginger minced
  • 2 small tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large onion
  • 500 grams lamb bone
  • 300 grams potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • garnish coriander

Aloo Gosht Instructions

  1. Add potatoes in a bowl of water after choping.
  2. Heat oil in a pot, Mix garlic, onion,ginger. This will take 15 minutes
  3. Add 3/4 cup of water in potato bowl and mix all spices.Cook for about half hour. Till water reduced.
