I would do it if it was necessary if courts block his deployment of National Guard troops Trump told media in Oval Office on Oct 6 so fat it has not been necessary. but we have Insurrection Act for reason If i had to enact it I would do that”

The Insurrection Act

The Insurrection Act

“It has been invoked before” Trump told media

“We want safe cities”.

The insurrection Act or predecessors have been invoked 30 times in American history G Washington suppressed the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794.

The past time it was used was G Bush defense of Los Angeles during 1992 riots.

The law gives the president power to deploy US armed forces to suppress rebellion and civil unrest or when federal laws are being obstructed.

Presidents deployed troops domestically against wished of state and local leaders even though they have authority to do so.

When presidents have used power against the wished of state or local officials it was in reply to those officials not enforcing.

Supreme Court decision and federal laws or failing to quell insurrection against government.

The last time president invoked it against wished of state leaders was to suppress violent massive resistance to civil rights in 1950 and 60.

Trump threstened to invoke act during first term in 2020 but pulled back when Defense Secretary Mark Esper publicly opposed the move.

Trump has invoked other statutes to deploy national guard and even the US military to state like Californiaa and Illinois against wishes of those governors.

Washingto is said to have led over 10,000 army troops in what is believed to be first and only time a sitting president has commanded troops in field.

The federal reply quashed the rebellion without bloodshed and was seen as important precedent in how federal government could anad would use military if needed on US soil to enforce it laws.

1807 Insurrection Act is passed

President Thomas Jefferson signed the Insurrection Act into law after Congress formalized the principle established by Washington 15 years earlier.

It authorized president to use US army an Army and Navy at time to suppress insurrection and rebellions and enforce federal law when and where it was being obstructed.

The Insurrection Act allowed the President to act unilaterally to federalize the militia of any state and use the armed forces and deploy them in reply to request by governors or state legislatures.

US Federal government shutdown 2025

Donald Trump

Union leaders warned layoffs would have effects on services relied upon millions of Americans and pledged to challenge moves in court.

“It is disgraceful that Trump admin has used the government shutdown as excuse to illegally fire thousands of workers who provide critical services to communities across country”.

American service members starting next week many of whom live paycheck to paycheck are going to miss full paycheck.

Democrats do not end this shutdown by Monday then that October 15 date will pass us by.

Johnson has kept House out of session throughout the shutdown in attempt to Pressure Senate Democrats into helping the Republcian funding proposal.

A group of House Democrats sent speaker a letter asking him to allow vote on legislation that would ensure US army get paid during shutdown but Johnson has refused to bring lawmakers back to Washington.

The Senate has become chokepoint in funding fight because any legislation need 60 votes to advance in chamber.

In exchnage for their help Democratic senators ared demanding that premium tax credits for Affordable care Act healths.

Stier said

“It is wrong to make federal employees suffer because our leaders in Congress and White House have failed to keep government open and operational”

“Out air traffic controllers VA nurses smoke jumpers food inspectors are not responsible for government shutdown and they should not bear financial burden created by failures of elected officials.

The irony is members of Congress and senior White House leaders are continuing to be paid”

On 7 October federal Judge ordered the Trump admin to provide specifics on status of any layoff plans affected agencies and whether any federal employees have been recalledback to work to carry out layoff by Friday 10 October.

A report by center for American Progress on 30 september argued that government shutdown limits ability of Trump admin to carry our firings citing guidance from the office of management and budget admitted any layoffs need to have been start before shutdown start.

Constraints on firing federal employees during shutdown largely exist becuase of Antidefficiency Act and distinction between shutdown furloughs happend during lapse in congressional appropriations and admin furloughs which department and agency procedures on how to permanent let staff go including through RIF report authored by Greta Bedekovic.

The Trump admin threat to layoff federal employees should understood goal of admin that will be pursued without a government shutdown and should not drive lawmakers decision on whether to help government funding bills.

My expectation is yes they are going to start making some decision about how to move money money around which agencies and departments are going to be impacted which programs are going to be impacted which employees are goinf to be imapcted”

The AFL-CIO largest federation of labour union in US replied to Vought post on Friday adding America Union will see you in court”

The AFGE and American Federation of State County Muncipal Employees AFSCME filed for temporary restraining order to block Trump admin from carrying out any reduction in force RIFs during shutdown.

The unions filed an emergency motion for temporary restraining order on Friday following Vought post.

Less Saunders president of AFSCME said

These mas firings are illegal and will have devastating effects on service millions of Americans rely on every day.

Its food inspectors public safety workers or countless other public service workers who keep America running federal employees should not be bargaining chip in this admin political games.

US Federal government shutdown 2025

Donald Trump

“By illegally firing these workers the admin is not targeting federal employees it is hurting their families and communites they serve every day.

We pursue every available legal avenue to stop admin unlawful attacks on public service workers freedom and jobs”

When Arshin Kulkarni hold out for 77 in 18th over of Mahrashtra Premier League 2025 final the Eagle Nashik Tital required 32 runs of 14 deliveries.

Indian Cricket Team

Pakistan Cricket

The titans had six wickets in hand but for equation of that is magnitude in mega final you would not be faulted into thinking that the writing was on the wall.

Sometimes you need lukc too Kale admits with media.

This season i didnot get lot of chances to bat. Generally i bat higher up order but this year my role was different. I usually bat at number 3 or 4.

It was different situationa and i had not batted much in tournament so i was not quite in that touch. God obviously saw that i have been working very hard so luck went my way.

My intentionw was to win match for team i never thought about myself. so luck favored me and we won.

A 54 runs at average of 13.50 later here he was tasked with winningf final.

As any batter would Kale swung the first ball he faced as hard as he could it should have been straightforward take for deep mid wicket only for catch to go down before it rolled to bounday.

Nikhil Kadam was entrusted with bowling the final voer where four and single later Kale found himself on strike again.

with 21 needed off 10 he swung and missed before keeper made a mess while attempting to collect ball conceding four byes in the method.

Kale bludgeoned the next delivery straight at bowler who could not stick onto what would have been specky.

“Obvioulsly its tough because i was highest run getter for my franchise in two tournaments the MPL last year and then corporate trophy too for Eagle Nashik Titan. Whatever it is its a team game jo bhi role milta hai who chup chaap karna padhta hai. so my mindset was to do well in whatever chances i got” says Kale.

That would not have hurt as much as followed Having bowled the previosu delivery from around wicket.

Kadam went back over wicket and dished one in slot.

Kale slogged across lien and should have picked out deep mid wicket this time but down went regulation opportunity as ball cleared ropes.

When last over start the Titans need six runs to lift trophy.

Kale pumped the first ball aiming to clear long off and to disbelief of about everyone present.

The ball gazed fielder fingertips again before going distane sending Titans into euphoric celebrarion while leaving Raigad Roylas wondering.

It was case of confidence too something that Kale coudl have been down on having not had much of chance with bat all season.

“The thing is I have very good practice routine.Right from month prior to MPL i was practicing match simulation. We were practicing situations like 40 off 3 over or 30 off 3 overs so it did not feel different for me since my preparation was good. There was pressure but there was confidence too that i could do it” says Kale.

Kale comeback in MPL 2024 were in contrast the recent season he was fourth highest run scorer with 378 runs  while topping sixes charts with 32 hits over fence all while manning the middle order.
