Traffic changes, Runners participate in VB Turkey Trot; expect road closures

One of the “Top Trots” in Runners World Magazine and the Los Angeles Times, the O side Turkey Trot returns on Thanksgiving morning Thursday November 23.

A various traffic changes and closures have been declared before the 128th yearly YMCA Buffalo Niagra Turkey Trot, which held in downtown Buffalo on Thanksgiving morning.

The race competition begins at 9 am on Delaware avenue in North Buffalo, move towards Delaware, and finaly ends at Franklin and Niagara in Downtown Buffalo. The route will be shut to traffice from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

Delaware Ave will have rolling closures and re openings during the YMCA Turkey.

Traffic will be shut on Delaware Avenue from Hertel Avenue to Comet Avenue b/w  5 am morning and 10 am morning, Franklin St. from Court St. to W. Mohawk St. from 5 am to 12 pm and on Pearl St. between West Mohawk St and Cout St. from 5 am morning to 12 pm.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department Special Events Units various road will be between 6 am and 11 am for the race event.

If you desire to buy some late hour groceries, customers have lot of choices this Thanksgiving. Some national retailers like Big Lots and Kroger will be open, Target and Costco will be closed on Thursday. Albeit some with reduced hours.

Leftover Turkey Enchiladas Skillet

The homemade pumpkin enchilada sauce is delicious and spicy made with pumpkin and chopped tomatoes add some peppers for smoky heat. One of my most favorites enchilada recipes are Chicken Enchiladas.

How to Make Turkey Enchiladas

  • Blend the Pumpkin Enchilada Sauce Ingredients in a blender for two minutes
  • Saute the onion with a salt, stirring for few seconds. Mix the vegetables and cook until heated.
  • Mix the turkey and corn tortillas stir in the enchilada sauce. Simmer and stirr now and then and cook for ten minutes.
  • Cheese Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Broil the skillet until the cheese melts.Cool and top with garnishes.

Turkey Enchilada Ingredients

  • Onion Slice half of a large yellow or red onion.
  • Kosher Salt to season
  • Pumpkin Enchilada Sauce Canned Pumpkin puree, canned tomatoes, chili powder,garlic, black pepper, kosher salt and chipotle chilis in adobo sauce.
  • Corn tortilas cut into bite size strips
  • Vegetables Use any leftover Thanksgiving veggies such as Brussel Sprouts or roasted butternut squash.You can use spinach or kale.
  • Turkey You need five cups of chicken breast or leftover turkey.
  • Cheese Four ounces of Cheese blend or mozzarella.
  • Garnishes Cilantro, Jalapenos and sour cream.

  • Vegetarian Pumpkin Encilada Skillet Reduce the turkey and mix vegetables
  • Beans Mix one cup of canned black beans
  • Turkey Replace leftover turkey with rotisserie chicken
  • Mix your Enchiladas with fresh avocado
  • Brown ground turkey in the skillet with onion

Jenna Ortega Not Returning To Scream 7 Due to Wednesday

Jenna Ortega has exit from “Scream 7” due to her “Wednesday” Season 2 Schedule. The information of her dropp out comes one day after her co star Melissa Barrera was banned from horror thriller movie due to Barrera post on social media platform about Israel and Palestine.

Productions dates for “Wednesday” season 2 have till date not confirmed. Ortega needs to close videoing on Tim Burton “BeetleJuice 2” which shooting was cancelled due to SAG-AFTRA strike.

“Scream 7 ” was announced earlier this year with director Christopher Landon. Barrera and Ortega co star as Sam and Tara Carpenter in the 2022 come back of Scream and this year sequel Scream VI. They provided entertainment with dominant horror franchise and returning stars.

Earlier Barrera was fired from Scream 7 due to her social media message taking side of Palestine on going war with Israel. Barrera had shared on social media post that accused Israle of “genocide and ethnic cleansing” and reposted and excerpt from Jewish. Current magazine about destroying “the Holocaust to boost the Israel arms industry.”

The movie end was very happier one for Barrera and Orteg Characters who defeat the Ghostface murderer and repaired their relationship.
