Veteran Morning Edition host Bob Edwards dies at 76

Longtime morning National Public Radio Host Bob Edwards has died according to NPR. He was 76 years veteran.

Edwards was the host of radio stations Morning Edition show for 24 and half years. NPR said adding people knew him as the voice we woke up to.

He left NPR in 2004 and interview one of his radio heroes Charles Osgood during his last show.

Osgood was the first person Edwards interviewed for Morning Edition.

Edwards went on to host his own show at Sirius XM Radio. He could be heard on Bob Edwards Weekend through Public radio channels
