Genesis has been teasing its Magma brand.

The Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept opened up in Apri 2023 first unveil the vibrant orange paint that is Magma brand signature color.

Magma was officially launched a year later with reveal of GV60 Magma Concept and we have seen three other Magma concepts.

Genesis has announced the production version of GV60 Magma along with Magma GT concept Genesis president and chief creative officer Luc Donckerwolke.

Magma announced a latest facet of Genesis said Donckerwolke at global reveal in France of the GV60 Magma electric SUV and Magma GT  hybrid halo car for streets and racetracks.

“It is one that elevates brand toward true luxury through performance.

Magma we are injecting adrenaline into Genesis DNA.

The dual motor Genesis GV60 Magma packs 601 hp and 546 lb ft of peak torque as default.

 

Activate Boost Mode and powertrain output jump to hefty 640 hp and 583 lb ft for 15 seconds.

Genesis engineer said the 4983 pound GV60 Magma will singshot from 0-60 mph in 3.4 second and 124 mph in 10.9 on way to top speed of 164 mph.

GV Magma on road has beautiful colore.

In addition to unique 21 inch wheels Magma exterior visual include redesigned front bumper with enhanced airflow and cooling vents.

Redesigned rear bumper vented side skirts.

Black Finishes on window frames.

Exterior moldings.

The rear spoiler is functional.

The Genesis GV60 Magma is expected to go on sale in US in 2026 as 2027 model.

Pricing yet to be revealed with performance trip asking $74K the Magma may end up $80,000.

The seats door trim and center console are adorned with microsuede.

Standard equipment includes Magma Specific orange and gray stitching button plus switches and emblem in blacl high gloss or dark metal finishes.

The steering wheel has rim design and orange accents on drive mode and boost buttons.

The images of digital dahs and infotainment system are unique for Magma.

Magma Mode reconfigures the instrument display cluster into three circle layout with essential driving data including battery, temperatures, speed and g forces.

Drivers can opt from three drives modes Sprint GT and My.

They can customize setting for electronic limited slip stability control among other parameters.

They can activate Magma high performance driving features like Virtual Gear Shift VGS and Drift Mode technology on Hyundai ioniq 5 N High Performance Battery Control HPBC.

VGS adjust power and torque output the electric motors and regenerative braking to replicate shifting sensation.

The system creates sound of high performance internal combustion.

The engine sound is index to wheel speed and load.

HPBC resolved one of loniq 5N weakness.
