International Chess Federation investigating Vladimir Kramnik following Daniel Naroditsky Death

Russian Chess grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik is being investigated by international chess federation fide following unexpected death of American chess grandmaster daniel naroditsky.

On Wednesday Oct 22 governing body of international chess contest released a statement from FIDE president Arkady Dvorkovich announcing federation was investigating public statement made by Kramnik before and after Naroditsky death at age 29.

Kramink a former world champion  accused Naroditsky who was famous chess commentator of cheating during online matches.

The Charlotte Chess Center revealed Daniel Narodisky death on Monday Oct 20.

His cause of death is unknown.

The International Chess Federation FIDE said it is now investigating comments regarding Naroditsky made by Russian chess grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik.

 

“What public statement after death of Daniel was incorrect” Kramnik added.

He claimed to be victim of bullying and damaging statement including murder threat from fellow member of chess community per outlet.

While Naroditsky denied any wrongdoing, he appeared visibly distressed in his final Twitch broadcast on Saturday, Oct. 18, discussing the controversy surrounding Kramnik’s accusation and the toll it had taken on him, according to USA Today.
