The Wisconsin department did not only honor its 2014 and 15 Final Four teams Friday night it had Hall of Fame coach Bo Ryan in building for the unveiling of the banner bearing his name that raised to rafters of the Kohl Center.
The Badgers beat No 9 Arizona 103-88 in front of huge crowd of 16838 at the Kohl Center.
The victory showed a record setting night by John Tonje on a handful of fronts.
103 points were highest ever for Wisconsin against a top ranked team.
The 15 point victory over high rank team was mega for the Badgers since a 67-49 victory over Michigan State Feb 2, 2010.
The Badgers went 41 of 47 from free throw line to tie the single game record for made free throws in a match that dates back to Jan 1, 1955 versus Illinois.
Max Klesmit said
“We were all talking about in locker room this is night we will never forget”.
“Having team like Arizona which is well coached basketball team coming in here and being able to have the Kohl Center full is everything you dream of as a kid. We all dream about playing in full arenas to a top 10 team coming in”.
It was full of sentimental night fulled with students moving the court to celebrate and sing school song with Badgers before players went to locker room.
The officiating points to emphasis designed to open up game could mean games take longer to complete.
Friday regulation game took 2 hours 34 minutes to play. Sixty three fouls were given and 87 free throws were taken.
after smashing 87.2% of their free throws the Badgers free throw percentage for season sits at NCAA leading 90%.
“We came into huddle every time and said we can not control it anymore” Klesmit added
“We can only control what we can control and we can not decided if a ref is going to call a foul or not I remember late in second half every huddle we came to was next play. Who cares? That the way they are calling it The End”.
Tonje hit 2 three and scored eight points during the run. Klesmit had four Junior Xavier Amos and senior Kamari McGee hit threes.

Tonje fell two points of equalling Kaminsky record set Nov 19 2013 but he passed former Badgers stars Rick Olson and Jordan Taylor Koehler Joe Franklin Alando Tucker and Devin Harris on program all time single match scoring list.
Tonje surpassed his passed career high by 10 points. He went 8 for 14 from floor consisting 4 for 6 from three point range.
He drew a match high 13 fouls which led to record setting showing from line.
