Here is the times, locations and routes for this year;s local St Patrick’s Day parades.
TRIM
The Trim parade starts at 3:30 pm from Newbridge on Ring Road. It will make its way up Patrick Street which will be sensory street of parade before going onto Emmet Street, Market Street and finishing at Castle Street.
The annual Trim raft race will take place and Matt Leavy will perform on parades stage.
NAVAN
Navan’s St Patrick’s Day parade will begin at 2pm from Enterprise Centre and follow usual route from Trim Road to Railway street Canon Row kennedy road and market square.
A sensory street on Canon Row also being introduced this year.
There will be free children entertainment in St Mary hall on Trimgate Street from 1 to 4:30pm and market stalls from 12:30 pm on Kennedy plaza.
ASHBOURNE
Ashbourne St Patrick’s Day celebration are beginning at 11am with market stall and music commencing. The parade with this year’s theme as Sharing our Planet will start at 12.45pm with local groups, sports clubs and businesses featuring in it.
The 2024 parade is said to include musical participants in parade than previously ensuring it is a lively event.
SLANE
Slane St Patrick’s parade will begin at 3:30pm at top of village beside the local primary school and end at gates of Slane Castle.
A vote will take place during parade for best float with a euro 500 prize going to winner.
This parade has running for last 29 years. There is music in village square from early in day and visit from few familiar faces such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Kingscourt
The Kingscourt Parade will begin at the Dublin Road at 1pm making it way down the Main Street.
This year Ratoath and Dunboyne will not be holding at St Patrick’s Day parade.
BALLIVOR
Ballivor village will hold 2nd annual St Patrick’s Day parade which will start at 12:30pm entering from Trim Road into the village and finishing Garda station.
