Drew Stevens 53 yard field goal lifts lowa over Nebraska 13-10

Drew Stevens start a 53 yard field goal as time expired as lowa rallied to beat Nebraska 13-10 on Friday night.

Stevens got his chance after defensive end Max Llewellyn forced recovered a mistake by Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola at Husker 36 yard line with 20 seconds left.

Two run by Kaleb Johnson took clock down to three seconds left before Steven start game winner.

The Hawkeyes came into this match with Stratton who start season as fourth string quarterback making his second start and offense struggled until Johnson who had contained for most of match broke free for touchdown.

Iowa caught a break in third quarter when Nebraska Vincent Shavers Jr muffed a punt and Hawkeyes recovered at Huskers 4 yard line.

Iowa only got two yards on three plays and settled for 20 yard field goal from stevens.

Nebraska outgained Hawkeyes 334-164 and had 20 first downs compared to Iowa five Johnson who came into match second in nation with 1492 rushing yards was held to 45 yards on 17 carries.
