Central Texans are seeing empty grocery shelves at H-E-B and Target prior of the freeze this weekend. Between the winter storm Uri in 2021 and Covid-19 panic grocery shopping has become common in Texas.
One of Trader Joe’s in Austin expressed their stock is still good ahead of the freeze.
The National Weather Service reports that Austin and Central Texas will view freezing temperature from Saturday night with a low of 15 degrees in Austin on Monday night.
“Our stores are well stocked and our partners are ready to serve our customers with the products they need” H-E-B said.
Customers are sharing various photos on X showing H-E-B grocery shelves are empty. People in Texas are worried about seeing those images. Earlier 2021 freeze where the ERCOT power failed and left millions of consumers without power.
