Tik Tok facing difficult time to develop US copy as ban approaching near.

After facing a bill to ban its operation in US. TikTok is working on separate algorithm for its 170 million US consumers which will operate independently from Chinese parent company ByteDance.

Hundreds of ByteDance and Tiktok developers in China and US have been given order to initiate working through millions of lines of code in order to find videos that suit consumer preferences using company algorithm in last few months.

The engineer amim to remove all data pertaining to Chinese users and develop a code base that is independent of system used by ByteDance Chinese version of Tiktok Douyin.

After this move TikTok US may not able to deliver same level of content as app is highly dependent on ByteDance engineer based in China.

Once finished TikTok US will run and maintain its recommendation algorithm independent of TikTok apps in other area and Chinese version Douyin.

One the video app code is split it will become more attuned to American audiences and Congress laws.
