The Bears time management at end of Thursday match in Detroit became head lines of

the Lions 23-20 win and it shifted attention from way the Lions left the door open for

Bears to mount a comeback.

The big picture for Lions is that they are now 11-1 and they remain in control of chance to be top seed in NFC playoffs.

The Lions dominated first half by picking up 279 yards on 47 attack plays while Bears

managed 53 yards on 19 offensive plays that did not result in first down until final minute

of second quarter.

The Lions only turned that advantaged into 16 points and Bears outscored the home

team 20-7 after break to give a chance for miracle comeback.

A penalty and sack set the stage for clock blunder that assisted Lions escape with 11th win of season and results was main thing for head coach Dan Campbell.

Campbell said via Dave Birkett of Detroit Free Press. “If you are not careful you start going

too far down that thing then you start taking wins for granted and ultimately man that

good win against opponent that fought every week and this was third game in  a row

division game that those guys have brought it over there. so we did what we had to win.

And we clean up the other stuff that cost us some points. I m not worried about that But I

will take this W and I m not going to lose sleep over it.
