On February 22, 2024 the University of Georgia UGA canceled its classes after dead body of woman was discovered in the intramural fields.

The Woman was a student at the Augusta University College of Nursing and UGA requested everyone from groups in case they were going anywhere.

The woman cause of death alongside her identity has not been made official and she was missing after she went jogging to the intramural fields in the morning.

Fox 5 Atlanta states that authorities started searching for her after they responded to call from one of her friends at around 12:07 pm.

The students have been told not to walk through the intramural fields which point to the fields created within the boundaries of the university.

This means that the use of intramural fields is restricted only to university students and no student from the outside is allowed to enter.

The regular classes would continue from February 26,2 024 which was confirmed through a statement shared on university website.

When the dead body of woman was found on campus of Georgia University on Thursday they post a statement on the website.

They stressed everyone safety.

UGA Police Department has launched an investigation into death of the woman

The UGA Police Department started searching for missing woman at noon after getting a call from her friend claiming the lady was missing after she went jogging.

A statement from University on official page on X revealed that search start at around 12: 20 pm.

The woman body was found at 12:38 pm in a forest area near Lake Herrick and she was reportedly on breathing according to New York Times.

The medical services were called but they failed to revive her.
