Former Indian Spinners Amit Mishra backed the selectors decision to drop veteran batter Karun Nair from 15 member squad for upcoming home two test series against West Indies.

The 33 year old made comeback to Indian red ball side for recent tour of England.

Nair had not played for India in  8 years following the home series Against Australia in 2017.

The right hander could not capitalize his second chance in England Tour.

The Karnataka batter played in four out of five Test scoring only 205 runs at average of 205.62 with one lone half centuries in eight innings.
