A tornado sank a luxury sailing boat off the coast of Sicily:mike lynch yacht:angela bacares

Emergency workers in southern Italy are still hunting for 6 people missing after a tornado sank a luxury yacht Monday showing an air and naval operation off the coast of Sicily.

15 person were rescued from the destruction on Monday.

Two Americans and 4 Britons are among those missing including British tycoon Mike Lynch, Jonathan Bloomer chairman of Morgan Stanley international and Chris Morvillo a famous lawyer.

Italy fire brigade send helicopters to help in the search officials add Monday. The brigade said they would send divers to attempt and enter the sunken ship Tuesday after attempt on Monday.

What do we know about the boat?

Built in 2008 the 56 meter 184 foot yacht was manufactured by Italian company Perini Navi.

According to the Associated Press, the boat has been available for charter for $215,000 per week.

The yacht mast stood 72.27 meters 237 feet high above the water line short of the world tallest mast which is 75.2 meters.

It was the tallest aluminium mast in the globe.

Twenty two person were on board the Bayesian which was flying under a British flag and had British passengers and crew. Two Anglo French one sirilankan and one Irish person.

A group of famous guests  are among those missing including Lynch the 59 year old British tech tycoon who fought a fraud case earlier this year in the US which spiraled from the destructive $11 billion sale of his company to tech firm Hewlett Packed HP in 2011.

His 18 year age daughter was also missing. Lynch wife Angela Bacares survived the accident.

Morvillo an American partner at Clifford Chance was involved in beating the US fraud case against Lynch in June.
