Easy Jet has been told to stop claiming that carry on baggage fees are availabe from 5.99 Euro after failed to provide evidence to advertising watchdog that passengers can bring a suitcase on board for that price.
The Advertising Standards Authority ASA and customers would assume from Easy Jet wording they could buy a carry on bag for 5.99 Euro.
The claim on Easy Jet website was flagged to ASA by consumer group which said airlines often advertise low fares but have extra fees.
Easy Jet said We always aim to provide clear information to our customers on pricing and purpose of this page was to display information on fees and charges to customers.
