Lakers legend embarrassed by loss to Miami heat: Reeling Lakers share in blame after 41 point defeat to heat

LeBron James bounced back from slump to score 29 points on 12 for 18 shooting including 1 of 4 from 3 point range to break a streak of 20 straight missed 3 s. He did not quibble with Reddick remarks.

Anthony Davis who not long before was considered early season MVP candidate volunteered for Lions share of blame after scoring season low eight points on 3 for 14 shooting.

Davis had set his season low with 12 points Monday going 4 for 14 from field in 29 point loss against Minnesota.

Lakers guard Gabe Vincent had nine points and three steals off bench but part of Lakers second unit was outscored 51-28 by Miami reserves

He characterized his team mood upset.

Vincent  said

“I think we are far off from where we want to be and where we expect to be this time of the year”.

Magic Johnson was around for lot of losses by Los Angeles Lakers

In 2008 they fell by 39 points when Boston Celtics get the NBA Finals in Game 6.

In 1985 Johnson was part of Lakers team that lost by 34 to Celtics in Game 1 of 1985 finals.

The Lakers are four years removed from James leading them to title in Orlando bubble season.
