Thousands of state pensioners are set to get minimum 233 euro in financial help this winter despite losing Winter Fuel Payment thanks to other benefits designed for assisting.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves revealed the payment which can amount to up to 300 euro per year to put towards heating will available to people who get means tested benefits like Pension Credit.

Those who no longer qualify for this help may be entitled to multiple other benefits that could help to overcome the difficulties.

Winter Fuel Payment has been backbone for multiple pensioners in past years millions will find themselves ineligible for its year due to change in  qualification criteria.

Cold Weather Payment 25 Euro

Pensioners may be entitled to the Cold Weather Payment which provides 25 Euro for seven days when the temperature decrease below zero.

These payments are triggered by cold weather condition and sent to those who qualify for Pension Credit or other eligible benefits.
