Class 9th examination results have been revealed by the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education
According to Zahid Mian the controller of exams for the Lahore board over 127,000 students passed the exams.
159,000 students did not manage to clear the exams reflecting a challenging year for many.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Rawalpindi has revealed the results of annual class 9 board examinations. BISE Chairman Adnan Khan and Controller of Examination Tanveer Asghar Awan released the results during a presso releasing on Friday.
Once again girls outperformed boys.A total of 125,715 candidates registered for the exams while 123790 appeared. 61,289 were boys and 62,501 were girls.
The overall pass rate stood at 45.84% with 56.84% of girls passing compared to 34.63% of boys.
Total candidates 56,749 passed 67,034 failed and 1622 were absent.
BISE Chairman Adnan Khan appreciate the efforts of Controller of Exams Tanveer Asghar Awan, former controller Professor Sajjid Mehmood Farooquo and whole team for their hard work in releasing the results on time. He stressed that merit were upheld in the method.
The results have been published on board website and students have informed through SMS.
All candidates have been promoted to 10th grade..
