Con Edison, utility workers reach tentative deal averting strike:con edison contract negotiation

After several negotiations UWUA Local 1-2 has tentatively agreed to terms of new 4 year collective agreement with Con Edison averting a strike.

The tentative deal was reached Sunday morining and revealed by union on its social media.

The new deal includes higher wages for utility workers an enhanced medical plan with minimum increases and rapid wage increases.

Their current contract expired at midnight.

The talks were held at hotel in White Plains.

The tentative deal now goes before utility workers for vote to ratify the agreement. That should happen in coming days.

Its a relief for millions of New York citizens who could have impacted. Union representative Michael Pena and avoiding strike was crucial during this heat wave.

This agreement reflects the hard work and dedication of both parties to get an agreement that benefits all, This agreement would not be possible without the unwavering support of the rank and file the union said in  a statement.

64th TV Week Logies have revealed with bounty of ABC shows and presenters fighting it out for top nominations.

The ceremony will be broadcast on August 18 Sunday. You can watch all ABC Logie nominated programs on ABC iview.

The ABC has get 51 nominations one of highest tallies ever fro public broadcaster.

ABC News Breakfast Tony Armstrong is in running title of Australia most famous personality.

Australia won famous presenter in 2023 and best new talent in 2022.

The Logies will held in Sydney hosted by comedian Sam Pang.

Sam Pang is officially revealed to return as host of the Logie Awards.

Seven will screen that event from The Star Sydney on Sunday 18th August.

Hosting the Logies last year was great experience and Im thrilled to return in 2024.

Three awards will be presented as Most Popular with nominees decided by panel of independent industry experts before voted on by Australian public Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian TV.The Bert Newton Award for Most Popular presenter and Graham Kennedy Award for most popular new talent.

Remarkable visit from Jennifer Lopez an italian store named one of its dress after the star.

Vacationing with mates in southern italy this week singer and actress visited handmade clothing store and bought a dress which the shop then named after her.

Lopez and her mates had impromptu dance party at store, the employee recalled.”When she heard music by Geolie being played. She started dancing they said.”We all looked at her she is so beautiful it was so cute her dancing”

The actress  was photographed on boat on June 18 rocking the same basket bag which she coupled with cream colored bandeau top gold sandals and multicolor shorts

Her husband Ben Affleck is in Los Angeles Filming the Accountant 2.

JLO has been showing her style throughout her italian vacations including a yacht look.

Lopez paired a plunging white one piece Gooseberry intimates swimsuit with match open toe heels.
