The Soft Moon’s Luis Vasquez Has Died

Luis Vasquez, the California music star who recorded as the Soft Moon has died. The Soft Moon social media accounts share the news of his passing this morning. Luis Vasquez has passed away. Vasquez aged and cause of death have not been revealed.

Luis Vasquez was born in Las Angeles and he grew up in the remote city of Victorville. He begin playing in punk bans as a teenage before heading to the Bay Area and making music under the Soft Moon name. His self title first album came out on Captured Tracks in 2010.

The Soft Moon released 5 albums Sacred Bone and with Captured Tracks.He moved to Venice, then to Berlin.

Successful touchdown will make Japan the 5th nation ever to land a space carrier on the lunar surface. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency JAXA is trying for a precise landing of its SLIM i.e. Smart Lander for Investigation Moon search, with in 328 feet designated target a technology it calls vital for lunar search , specifically in the quest for lunar water and human habitation.

Japan is trying to land its Moon Sniper to investigate on the moon surface and will become the 5th country to put a space carrier on the lunar surface if it remain successful. Only 4 nations have successfully landed on the moon Russia, US, China and India.

Japan is involving in NASA’s Artemis programme with aim of sending one of its astronauts to the lunar surface.Shinchiro Sakai JAXA’s SLIM project manager said ” No other nation has achieved this. Proving Japan has this technology would bring us a mega advantage in upcoming international missions like Artemis”.

SLIM will begin a twenty minute touchdown phase on its one way mission from midnight on Saturday 15 GMT friday attempting to land on a target site roughly the size of 2 athletic tracks on the slope of a carter just south of the lunar equator.Japan also plans a joint unmanned lunar polar exploration with India in 2025.

JAXA has become a powerful tool in exploration of hillly moon poles fuel, water and oxygen source.JAX expresses it will take up to a month to verify whether SLIM has achieved its precision target after touchdown.

The Japanese agency has twice landed on asteriods however a moon landing is much more difficult due to its gravity as seen in a number of latest failures.

Four found dead at house in tragic incident at property near Norwich

The bodies of 4 people were found inside and the police believes they were all known to each other.

Norfolk Constabulary said officers enter into an address in Allan Bedford Crescent before 7am following a call from a member of the public.

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) snow plow was hit for the 5th time statewide by public vehicle this year and the accident was caught on camera. ODOT confirmed the accident happened on I-480 eastbound at Tiedeman Road on Jan 16. The 19 First Alert Traffic update at 3:30 pm showed a live view at the accident shortly after first responder arrived on scene.

CMA CGM to buy UK logistics company Wincanton in grocery push

French shipping firm CMA CGM is set to buy British logistics company Wincanton in a deal value $700mn that will take CMA CGM latest push in logistics to the UK supermarket segment.

Through its CEVa logistic unit, CGM has made all cash offer for Wincanton of 450 pence per share offer, showing a premium of 52% to Wincanton stock closing price of 297 pence on Thursday, the two firms said.

CMA CGM privately managed by Saade family has made a series of acquisitions in logistic companies, french media and port terminals, helped by mega shipping profits in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

Wincanton is active in the Ireland and UK in markets from consumer goods and food to defence and fuel and operates over 170 sites. Wincanton shares jumped 47% trading on Friday and touched their highest since july 2021.

Wincanton expressed its board intend to unanimously recommend that its shareholders vote in favour of CMA CGM bid, which would lead to the UK company being delisted from the stock market. The companies said ” The offer values Wincanton at 566.9 million pounds on a fully diluted basis.

American Airlines jet slides off icy NY runway

Officials say the jet had 50 passengers and 3 staff members on board. A jet that took off from Philadelphia International Airport skids off the taxiway after landing in Rochester, New York.

The cause of this incident remains under investigation. Official says the plane , an E-145 Embraer Regional Jet had 50 passengers and 3 members on board. It happened after American Eagle Flight 5811 landed at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Frederick Douglas Rochester International Airport.

There were no injuries. Passengers were being moved to the terminal by bus. American Airlines American Eagles parent company expressed the plan skid due to snowy airfield conditions. The plane will be taken out of service for a complete inspection.

“Safety is our top priority and we apologize to our customers for their experience.”

Severe winter storms have blasted the Northeast and other portions of the United States in recent days. Airlines were forced to cancel thousand of flights and train routes in Northeast Corridor causing, chaos, frustration for travelers.
